On Saturday, I had finished ALL of my Christmas cards - except for TWO! I REALLY needed a break from making Christmas cards but I wanted to get them all in the mail by Sunday.
SO.............I was in Hobby Lobby last week and saw some patterned Christmas paper I really needed (not really, but that sounded good, didn't it). Anyway, I bought a couple of sheets and got it home and decided I didn't like it. I left it out of my work table and the more I looked at it the more I liked it! By Saturday, I was IN LOVE with it.

Instead of a CAS (clean and simple) card, I made a JTL (JUST TOO LAZY) card! I'm calling it that because all I did was take a burgandy card, add the patterned paper to it, stamped and matted the sentiment, and added ribbon. I actually think it came out very nice...... After making my card I was checking one of the blogs I follow and found a card similiar to it (same paper) over at Susan's Day Off Creations. She did a wonderful job on the card she made with the same paper.
The bottom line though is that I did finish all the cards and they were mailed yesterday as planned! Whoopee!!!!!!! Now I get to start on some stocking stuffers - and Sock Monkeys (FIVE of the little critters)!
Thanks for stopping by.................
Lynn
Beautiful Christmas card, love that pattern paper. I'm almost finished with my Christmas cards as well and I'm so happy that I didn't wait until the last minute this year.
ReplyDeleteFantastic card- I love the look of CAS, but find it challenging, I am not sure why...I cannot stop..... I love the paper you used. TFS
ReplyDeleteI really like your description of JTL instead of CAS. I do feel that way this year. I like your sentiment and the big bow.
ReplyDeleteSometimes JTL wins out. I love the results.
ReplyDeleteYour Just-Too-Lazy card is delightful!! You can't go wrong with great paper and shiny ribbon!
ReplyDeleteI am jealous! I've barely made a dent in my holiday cards. Lucky you to have mailed yours already. Love your C&S design. It's not lazy, it's delightful!
