I'm not real crazy (at all) about this card, but here it is anyway! I just felt like it needed something else but for the life of me, could not figure out what. Everytime I look at it, I keep thinking "VEGAS" (you know, slot machines and all that)!!! Maybe I should have changed the sentiment to "good luck". It will still make a cute note card for someone and maybe brighten their day.
This is for Clean and Simple stamping FTL98 and for CAS-tastic Wednesday Challenge (to use Kraft). The cherries are from the Tart and Tangy set and the sentiment from Tiny Tags (SU). I "glazed" the cherries in Liquid Glass (CTMH). The paper I used is Kraft, Real Red, White, and a DP from SU that is now retired.
Thanks for stopping by...........

And by the way - I think it turned out great. I like your polka dots better than the pp I chose to use!
ReplyDeletemaybe some texture on the first layer... I like the card.
ReplyDeleteLynn you just gave me the best idea for a card for my mom's birthday coming up this month. She loves the casino (we have the two largest casinos in the US here in CT). The cherries are such a perfect idea. I never would have thought of that! Thanks AGAIN! :)
ReplyDeleteCute card- very cheerful!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful! Love the kraft paired with the red, so cheerful and fun.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Christine
It's beauitiful, I love the bright cheery feel of it.
ReplyDeleteThe cherries say summer Lynn. Looking good
ReplyDeleteOh, I like it, I actually thought of a bowl full of cherries, but started laughing when I saw Vegas. It is a great card, nice and cheery!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute card! Vegas didn't even cross my mind. Great job!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this one Lynn. Stunning design, stamps and colour.
ReplyDeleteI love it. I don't think it needs anything else at all. Love the color combo too.
ReplyDeleteI disagree, I think its a great card. Good idea too about the casino.
ReplyDeleteLynn, Another great card. Once again you managed to put strong colors that work so beautifully together. I really don't think it needs anything. I love the "good luck" idea as well!

ReplyDeleteslot machines never crossed my mind until you mentioned it - I love the card crisp and simple - wonderful best wishes Lesley x
ReplyDeletereminded me i have fresh cherries in the fridge...and your card looks just as delicious!...course the slots at vegas get me hungry too...lol
ReplyDeleteLynn,I think this card is perfect.Beautiful job!!
ReplyDeleteNothing seems missing at all!
ReplyDeleteWhat you said about the slot machine effect was so funny. I once lined up 3 apples and suddenly realised they looked kinda like the pix of slot machines I'd seen from time to time in ads or whatever. Not sure if they even feature apples, as I've never met a slot machine in peson!
Your cherries composition looked more like fun forties retro than slots, though. Very cute & chic!

LOL- I did not thing Vegas until I read what you wrote up- too funny- No- I thing the L.O. is perfect for the three images in a row- great summer CAS card!
ReplyDeleteI love these sweet cherries!! Great card, Lynn!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card! I love the look of red with kraft, it's so effective. I like your idea of the 'good luck' sentiment although I think this one works too!
ReplyDeleteI don't know what you mean about it needing something else, Lynn--I think it's PERFECT!! :o)
ReplyDeleteI didn't even think about the slot machine idea until you mentioned it. I can see that but I think in general it just looks like a fun and cheery design. I too struggled with this sketch. Even though it's so simple it was hard for me to make mine work.
ReplyDeleteI think this card is really sweet! You should enter it in Kristina Werner's repitition challenge. http://www.kwernerdesign.com/blog/?p=3681
ReplyDeleteIt has definite Wow factor, I think you aren't used to the blank space at the top. Me either, so it's hard to leave it alone!
ReplyDeleteI love the cherries on kraft!! What a wonderful card, Lynn!
