We have another Shopping Our Stash Challenge for you beginning today! This go-round our theme is Go Green - or - Recycle something! Be sure and pop over the the challenge blog and see all the creations from the DT. When you enter, be sure and remember to use up some of that stash!
I decided to recycle something and also go green. If you follow my blog you'll know I very seldom make a green card. I must have 20 different shades of green card stock and just seldom use it. But green is what you get today! I embossed the light green layer, then added a piece of cardboard that came from a hair dryer box. The leaves (from Autumn Splendor CTMH) were stamped over the Sanded background (SU). For my sentiment I wanted to use a sentiment that came with the leaves set that said Falling Leaves. Somehow I've lost the Leaves and just having Falling.....Grrrrrr....Hopefully it'll turn up somewhere. SO, I just stamped Autumn for the sentiment and then added the bling. Oh, I sprayed the image with Smooches - but of course it doesn't show up in the photo..........
I'll enter this in the challenges at Simon Says Stamp and Show (Leaf Inspiration) and Crazy 4 Challenges (Leaves).
Stay tuned and I'll be back in a minute with my {Pin}spirational Challenge post ......deer me........
Lynn
Your card is absolutely stunning! Love the pretty leaves and the ribbon is perfect!
ReplyDeleteYou're right! I don't see you use green a lot!
ReplyDeleteI really like it!
Those leaves are gorgeous!
Wow... I love this shade of green! I like the multi coloured leaves, the embossing and that lovely bow!
ReplyDeleteLynn, Terrific card. Unlike you I tend to use green a lot. maybe too much. Isn't it funny how we all differ? Wonderful idea to use the cardboard. Love that leaf stamp. Have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteare you bored of reading how stunned and amazed i am EVERY SINGLE WEEK at your lovely creations??! well, sorry, if so, b/c this week is no different at all: HOLY WOW, this is ♥GORGEOUS♥!!!
ReplyDeleteps: sorry about the missing stamp... do you think it read itself and thought "leaves" was a direction?! (ok, probably not, LOL!) :) :) :)
What pretty leaves and against the green it makes me think of the beautifully colored leaves on the ground!
ReplyDeleteThis is a stunningly lovely card. The bow is fantabulous (like my new word?)! I am smiling about your comments about green and never using it. Green seems to be a staple "neutral" for me, and it seems as if most of my cards last month used green. None-the-less, your cards are always so lovely, and this was is no exception!
ReplyDeleteI think you did a fabulous job with all that green and that's a particularly elegant shade for this card. Love your perfect bow, as always.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Lynn, I love the leaves and the beautiful shade of green you have used.

Lynn - This is stunning! Simple and elegant! Love this card. I have the opposite problem. In my mind green is a neutral, so I use it all the time and am always running out. You did a great job...you should use green more often ;) lol
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Michelle
So pretty! I love the rich colors of the leaves with this shade of green!
ReplyDeleteI love how you've put this one together! Those stamped leaves really look pretty with the background you used! Just gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteI love the fall card you created- and the embossing on the BG. The leaves stamped- love the BG mimicing the pattern/texture of a tree too...!
ReplyDeleteLove this-that green bow is so pretty!!
ReplyDeleteLynn, your autumnal card is so pretty. I love the soft green color you've used as your background. I also love the embossed look of bark. The leaves on the inset of your card are also very pretty. The bow and "AUTUMN" are very nice embellishments. Thanks for joining us at Simon Says Stamp and Show. <3 Candy
ReplyDeleteIt is a super green card, Lynn and the sentiment looks perfect... it fits just right.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty ribbon to go with the leaves.

Gorgeous green card, Lynn! I love the embossing on the background and of course, those beautiful fall leaves. Such great colours!
ReplyDeleteHmmm...I'm trying to think of where else you can use "falling" all by itself....Grrr! Hope the stamp turns up at some point (I've had mine turn up months later...don't give up hope! lol)
ReplyDeleteLove the great big bow, and the awesome mix of falling leaves!

ReplyDeleteFor someone who doesn't use green very much, this is stunning! Love the soft colors.
ReplyDeleteI love this card Lynn and what a pretty shade of green that is. Also not a colour I use that often. Soooo pretty! hugs Sharon
ReplyDeleteI really like the green with just a hint of the fall colors, and your cardboard makes a wonderful stripe! So sorry to hear about the missing stamp. So frustrating! With your knack for puns, you could always team 'falling' with a 'for you' stamp!
ReplyDeleteHi Lynn! Wow! SO lovely! Love the soft colors, the faint leaves and the lush bow! This is SO pretty!
