Masculine Birthday-Seize the Birthday

I'm back again with another Seize the Birthday challenge!  We're using the same sketch as last week, but this time need to see your masculine cards.  Come on over to the Seize the Birthday blog and show us your masculine creations.  We're again sponsored by Uniko Studio who graciously provided myself and several others the Bright Butterflies stamp set.  Be sure and stop by the blog to see all the inspiration from the DT.




This will be a birthday card for my brother who's an avid butterfly (and bird) watcher.  I tried to use some male-ish type colors on this with the red, green, and yellow.  They're mounted on a piece of Very Vanilla that's been embossed with the Wood Grain embossing folder.  This was all placed on some older CTMH DP.  I added a silver brad to each of the spots on the butterfly wings.

    Well, Lynn, you've succeeded once again in producing a fabulous "guy" card. I love that background paper and the woodgrain embossing is the perfect back drop for your butterflies. The brads add so much to the whole card. I'm home for the next two days(but have to clean and cook) so I will try to get over to the Seize the Birthday site and join in. Thanks for the inspiration.     He's going to love this card Lynn! I do too... those butterflies are perfect and I like the brads on them. Perfect with the embossing, paper and the twine.

    Oh, Lynn, I'm loving the wood grain and twine! I missed playing along last week and will probably miss this week, too, due to camera problems. :-( But I'll be back once I replace the old digital SLR.

    I've got to hand it to you Lynn - I doubt I could have made a masculine card with butterflies, but you nailed it! The woodgrain embossing really looks great!

    you know, i never think "butterflies" for a masculine card, but looking at this i'm kind of kicking myself b/c it's BRILLIANT... in every sense of that word! (LOVE the texture and the twine, as well; love the whole entire thing, actually!!!) ♥

    A terrific masculine card...your brother is sure to love the primary colors and the woodgrain background...how perfect with the butterflies in the wild. The twine & darker paper really set off the entire card. TFS
