Rocking along with some fun sailboats today. We didn't get our beach and margaritas on Saturday and this was as close as I came to any water - other than maybe dishwater!
The sailboat die and sentiment were from last months Simon Says Stamp kit. Cute kit with some fun things in it. I even fired up the sewing machine for this one!
Thanks for stopping by............

ReplyDeleteSimply delightful! Love the paper piecing, and gosh, this must have been fiddly with those tiny pieces. And love your waves with the fun stitching! Of course the sentiment is perfect (well, yeah, it would be of course! BUt I love it) I always forget about doing stitching, and even took a sewing machine downstairs so that I _could_ do some stitching. Really terrific job on this one, Miss L,TFS
Love the patterned papers for the sails and how clever to sew in the waves! Love it.

This is fabulous, Lynn! Love the paper pieced sails and that sentiment is wonderful. Love how you used your sewing machine. :-D I didn't get anywhere near water (or margaritas) on Saturday, either. :-( I'm sure that means we owe ourselves a party whether or not there's a particular reason, right?
ReplyDeleteGreat card and just adore these cute boats.

Absolutely adorable! One of my favorite cards that I have seen your blog.
ReplyDeleteCome sail away was my old HS class song - thought of it the minute I saw this. Love the multiple sail boats and clean look of this. Fun die - I may have to get that one! Hugz
ReplyDeleteBrilliant design and such a cute card! I was so tempted to buy that kit and after seeing what you created, I may just pop over to SSS and do it!
ReplyDeleteFrom personal experience, dishwater doesn't count, lol! I love this, and the stitching is perfect!
ReplyDeleteI remember ogling Simon's kit with the sailboats and thinking that would be so much fun and you've proven that indeed that was a winner. I love this card. I totally laughed at your dishwater comment. Hey, at least dishwater is safer than the sea--no sharks to get you there!
ReplyDeleteThese are the cutest boats I have seen. Very lovely card.
ReplyDeleteif the dishwasher counts as a body of water then my house is LAKE FRONT baby!!!!!! :) :) :) cannot even express how much i looooooooooooooove this gorgeous card!!!
