Using a very old stamp from Stampin' Up (Noble Deer), I created this card for one of the young grandsons that loves to go hunting. Sad to think of something as pretty as a deer being hunted though.
In addition to the stamp, I used some Old Olive, Kraft, and Very Vanilla card stock and also some camouflage looking paper.
I'll enter this in the challenge at Pixie's Crafty Workshop (snippets).
Thanks for stopping by..........

Lynn, that camo paper is really awesome with your design here! I know what you mean, but I am surrounded by men who love hunting, fishing, sports, etc. So it's nice to "talk" to females with the kids' girlfriends!! LOL!! You've done a great job with this deer image and colors!! Thanks for sharing! :)
ReplyDeleteA fabulous card I do love the deer and gorgeous paper.

Okay, I'm plugging my ears instead of reading and looking at this GORGEOUS card with just one eye! :) It's a stunner, Lynn. I have this set and think I'll keep it long after I'm not stamping anymore, it's so serene and beautiful - just like your card! ☻
ReplyDeleteI've always thought this stamp makes great image for a guy card, especially a hunter, even though I hate the thought of killing one of those beauties. You did a wonderful job with this card. The twine is a great touch. Have a good evening.
ReplyDeleteWHat a wonderful card Lynn - great image beautifully coloured and the whole card is so taylored to your Grandson.

I agree that it's a shame to hunt such a magnificent creature. Guess if they didn't hunt them, there'd be way too many of them. This is an awesome card and one I'm sure your grandson will love!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great masculine card! I love the colors and the camo panel, and that earthy twine ties it all up perfectly!
ReplyDeleteBeautifully done Lynn. Used to love to go hunting but couldn't bring myself to shoot the deer. I agree. Beautiful animals.

ReplyDeleteStunning, Lynn! While I agree about something that beautiful being hunted, I love venison so much that I'd never try to talk my SIL out of hunting. :-D
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card- and perfect for a hunter too. I love deer- but, had one run in front of our car and damaged it pretty badly.......luckily, none of us were injured.
