Peaceful

Every year at Christmas I use this stamp from Impression Obsession for at least one Christmas card.  I'd actually forgotten about it this year and then remembered I needed a card for the vet's office.  The vet is very special to all of us.  Rambo wouldn't be as healthy as he is without that wonderful man.  Very CAS and not much coloring at all - which makes things go quick too.  It's just a beautiful peaceful image to me though.  I added a snowflake die from Lawn Fawn and stacked it about 4 times.

I followed the sketch at Sketch Saturday so will enter it in their challenge.  I'll also enter it in the challenge at Moving Along with the Times (A Special Person), and Pixie's Crafty Workshop (snippets - of card stock and layers of the snowflake).

Thanks for stopping by..........
Lynn

  3. Lynn, this is absolutely stunning. What a wonderful image - reminds me of our trip to Tennessee, where the neighbors near our cabin has horses that would come up to the fence and look for treats! This is a wonderful contrast in image/paper choice - love this!

  9. Fabulous Lynn! I know to little girls in Germany who would just adore this card - and such a kind thought to make this for Rambo's vet. The gingham paper is a perfect foil for the wonderful image with just the red pops from the hats - I love it!

  11. I too love this image and overlooked using it this year, probably because so many of my card recipients already received one from me! It does make for one CAS great card, and I love the gingham panel you added behind it! Fun, and perfect for any animal lover - especially horses!

  14. Oh this is also a favorite image of mine. I love images that just need that little touch of color to really bring it to life. My Dad used to use charcoal at lot to draw so I am drawn to black and white. You picked the ideal paper to back this beauty up with. Have a great night.

  15. A perfect card for your vet with this wonderful IO stamp (think I have it from a long ago show, and not ever used it. DD likes horses too- which is why I think I got it). Love the monotone treatment of the image with the red checks. Your vet will love it too! Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, TFS & Big hugs too. Off to see your earlier posts - doing some massive catchup this evening. :-)

  16. OMG, Lynn, I think this is the most incredible card you're done all year! I love, love, LOVE that image. How perfect that the Santa hats are the one splash of color and that it matches the gingham paper so well. Great single snowflake. :-D

  20. Oh I love this card! It makes me miss our horses, we had two of them, a quarter horse and a paint, but my daughters both stop riding and it got too expensive to keep them without having ridings! But the horses are such beautiful creatures! Love the CAS look of this gorgeous card!!

  30. I've been browsing around to see what I missed and I love this card. I have this stamp and it's one of my faves... you hardly have to do a thing with it.
Your card is so pretty with the checked paper.
