A Couple of Horses - 2 Crafty Critter Crazies

It's that time again - another critter challenge at 2 Crafty Critter Crazies.  We'd love to have you join in on our challenge - just make sure you have some type of critter on your card.  We're being sponsored this month by QKR who also provided us with some wonderful images.

First up  - all in grays and blues.  I LOVE this image for a masculine card.  I didn't even attempt to color it because I think it's so dynamic looking just as is.  I did run a little bit of green over the grass but that was it.  It's framed out super simple and the large silver circle star was added with some twine.

I'd like to enter this card in the QKR Stampede Challenge - Anything goes

Since I'm still trying to do more than one card with either a stamp set or an image, I have this pretty horse framed out with some green plaid and solid green paper.  The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions.  Guys need to be told they're fabulous every so often I think.

That's it for today, but be sure and check out 2 Crafty Critter Crazies and enter your card or project.

Thanks for stopping by............
Lynn

  5. Lynn, Both of these are incredible! I love that you used the images in the existing black and white. Perfect for an Appaloosa baby. Both of your color combos are wonderful and, while I love the green plaid, the one with the blue/gray stripes is such a perfect reflection of you. Or maybe it's that Texas star! :-D

  9. Love, love, love the horse cards you made. The blue one is really enhanced by the star and twine used. Would be a great masculine card, but I have female horse enthusiasts in the family who would love both cards.

  13. That image is so striking in black and white, Lynn! Love the design and use of pp, twine, and that star charm! Since you're trying to make two cards, Twofer CC can help you with that! (Please forgive the blatant marketing!) So glad to see you and Rambo back and sorry I've been absent myself. Been cleaning out my pp and making dozens of card fronts, It feels so satisfying to get on a roll, but I had to stay off the computer to do it! Hugs, Darnell

  14. That's a wonderful horse image - I've always loved the Appaloosa breed with their unique colors and markings! I love the first version uncolored with the charm, but the green plaid on the 2nd just adds to the masculine feel in a special way! Two great cards this day, and I love them both! Hope you have a happy Labor Day today.
