Getting a Little Joyful

Quick post with a couple of quick cards for Christmas ......... and yes, there's that plaid again.  Maybe I went a little overboard on the plaid this year but I don't think so.  Oh, and in case you're wondering about this - Just for giggles, I DID go back to see if they still had the plaid hedgehog and someone had already bought it!  Amazing.............

First card using alcohol ink backgrounds - think it was some pink and red - could have been purple too and maybe even some blue and yellow.  In other words I don't remember!   Second one in the plaid of course.  Both using a Joyful die from Simon Says Stamp.

Thanks for stopping by.........
Lynn

  2. I need to find that Joyful die! My opinion is never enough plaid. Pastels in spring and darks in the fall/winter months.....bring it on! Adorable!

  7. These are both wonderful! I can't figure out which is my favorite. I love red and black buffalo plaid, but the alcohol background is beautiful. I have alcohol inks, but have no idea how to do that. I must learn!

  8. Of course the plaid background is fun, but the first one with color swirling is my favorite. Nice die cut of Joyful. I like the cards.

  10. Oh, Lynn, I adore both of these Your background colors (whatever you may have used) are magnificent and they make the die cut sentiment really pop. I love plaid so the second one appeals to me, too. I don't think you could ever use too much plaid. :-D

  12. Love them both, Lynn. But to be fair to my heart, the alcohol one is so bright and cheerful that it makes me like it more than the plaid. Having said that, good old checks always look nice.

  14. The AI blended together beautifully for that card. You could make a hundred cards with that buffalo paper and I would love every one. I just love it and the Joyful die is a great one and looks happy against the plaid.
