Door Number 1, 2, or 3

My brother in law called the other day and wanted me to make a card for him to give his wife for their 50th wedding anniversary. They will be re-newing their vows next month for this occasion. He said he wanted it (now get this) funny, cute, loving, sweet, pretty and unique! Now how do you do something funny - yet loving??? So I created two cards - same image (Bugaboo).

Ok, Door Number 1 is this first card.............I used some Cherry Cobbler, Gold (for the 50th) and white. The fuzzy looking stuff is Mulberry paper that a very dear friend (thanks Kristin) had given me a while back. It's really pretty with the little gold threads running through it. I used glitter on her dress. On the inside it says "I'm so glad we committed."

Now Door Number 2 is the second card............I used some Vanilla and Riding Hood Red on it. The little "puffy" heart was in a box of odds and ends I had. Again, I used glitter on her dress. I haven't put a sentiment on the inside so if you pick this card, give me some suggestions for that!

Door Number 3 - is NONE of the above - and yeah, Lynn, you need to go back to the drawing board!!! If you pick Door Number 3 - I would love some suggestions.

So which do you pick..........Door number 1, 2, or 3????

Thanks for stopping by.................

Lynn

  4. I love them both but I think #1 takes care of the 50 year commitment and the "funny, yet loving" request. Plus that paper is to die for! Just my opinion. Both are gorgeous! They'll be happy either way Lynn!

  17. Although I like the sentiment and inside verse of the first card, there is something about the simplicity of the second card that showcases the image that I like better. Why not give him both and let him decide?

  18. Oh, I love them both! The sentiment for the first is perfect. I'm useless when it comes to creating sentiments. I think your BIL should come up with it (if he chooses door #2).

  22. I choose Door #3. Why? Because that's who I am and I believe I have an idea that you will like. So, here we go:

Stamp the man & woman image, but cut them out individually. Then, stamp them again as you did with your original two cards.

Make a tri fold card. (You could make it so that it has three flaps.) On the outer flap, adhere the man; on the first inner flap, adhere the woman; on the third inner flap, adhere both the man and the woman and on the inside of the card, the sentiment.

Okay, for the first flap with the man, the sentiment could be something such as Oh, oh...where did time go?

The second flat with the woman, the sentiment could be something such as No longer a spring chicken.

The third sentiment could be something such as And after all these years
Thru the laughter and the tears
    We still side by side
    I'm your husband
    And you're my Bride!
