Loving That Blue


I hope everyone had a nice weekend! We had alot of football going on around our house today. I guess the Super Bowl is next up on the menu! While everyone was watching football, I did manage to get some time in my craft room. That was very nice.

I saw the sketch over at The Paper Players and just had to play along! Go check out their challenge blog - lots of inspiration by the DT. I used the Watercolor Trio stamp set from SU and colored the image using SU markers. The lace is from that great "find" at a thrift store. You just never know what will turn up there.

This is also for the challenge at Creative Inspirations Paints. Their challenge theme to to be inspired by the shades of your favorite color - and, as you can see, my favorite color is blue. Also be sure and check out their challenge.

Oh - and just one more reminder on challenges......Stamps R Us has their challenge beginning today and the theme is to use an animal on your creation. The winner will receive five digital images of their choice from Sew Many Cards. I'll be showing my card for this next week as their challenge runs for two weeks.

    This is so beautiful, reminds of Texas, blue for bluebonnets :). Love it now if we can just get a tad bit warmer, although I saw a robin, yippee!

    Lovin' all the blue, Lynn! The embossing, the lace and the pearls look fabulous, too. You are going to laugh at me but I actually asked my husband yesterday if the Super Bowl had happened yet! Yikes! But now I know! Haha! Who are you rooting for? :)

    Ahhh, this is the perfect card to start off my snowy morning. Yes.......it's snowing AGAIN in CT this morning!!
    But, your card is giving me a nice spring feel and I can almost smell the beautiful flower!!

    What a wonderful take on the sketch, Lynn! I'm loving the blue and the embossing on the strip. I'm going to try to get a card pulled together for the sketch as well. We'll see if I can manage it...

    Gorgeous, Lynn. I love the lace elements and the border punch. The colors are perfect. Isn't it wonderful to get time in your space knowing that the rest of the family is off watching football and won't disturb you! Another fabulous card.
