Herb Garden

If you'll remember several weeks ago I used this same wonderful image with an entirely different layout, etc. I'm really liking this one so much better. We always have a big garden but have never really had a herb garden for some reason. I think I tried it one year and then forgot to get the herbs when cooking - and that was the whole purpose of planting it! Oh well...I guess it's just best to stick with a herb garden on a card instead!

Again, I colored the image with my Prisma pencils. This image and sentiment is a VERY old one from SU called Sweet Herbs. I like the lace on this with the filigree brad in the center as it gives it a different look.

This will be for several challenges: Stampin Royalty (Spring), and Art Impressions (anything goes).

Thanks for stopping by........and have a great weekend.....

Lynn

  6. Love this card with the image and the bright blue paper behind it and the lace ribbon. I have tried an herb garden and did the same thing reached in my cabinet instead of the garden :) Have a great weekend, can tell we were rockin' up here last night with hail and winds.

  8. Lynn, I especially love the lace and brad combination! Love the way you used the colors from the PDCC color challenge. Fabulous image -- wish I had it in my collection. I love planting a small corner of my garden in herbs, and what I don't use as fresh herbs, I dry and use throughout the year. Truth is, mostly I use the dried ones! Like you, I forget to run out and cut fresh ones when I'm cooking. Birthday? How did I miss that?
