Nuthatch

Pretty much a quick card for today.  I recently won this image from Mark's Finest Papers and thought it would be just perfect to send to a cousin on mine.  He has been having so many medical problems recently, lives alone, and has no family close by.  I just wanted him to know I was thinking of him.  I just never think about sending "thinking of you" cards to males - and sometimes they need to know that they're not forgotten too.


The sketch I used is from Victorine Originals and I'll enter this in their challenge.  The DP is from K and Company and the image is framed with Label 1 nestie.  I used SU markers on the image and also used my Stardust glitter pen to highlight the branches and pine cones (although you can't see that in the photo).  Since this will be for a male, I used the twine instead of ribbon and then topped it with a brad.

I'll also enter this in the challenges at Party Time Tuesday (use a feathered friend), Crafty Cardmakers (no floral embellishments), Stampin Sisters in Christ (thinking of you), and Stamp, Scrap, and Doodle (winter something).

    Your cousin will love this and so appreciate your thoughtfulness. This is so perfect with the paper behind and the twine and button with this so perfect image. Great guy card. Need to get the coat out for Lucky this AM wind chill in the teens, ugh!!! I don't want to walk today. :(

    I totally agree Lynn - everybody loves to receive mail telling them they're being thought about. This is a lovely card for a man - or anyone actually!

    Such a great card and I love the reason for sending it! I think I need to make one now for my husband's uncle!
    I love the little nuthatch nestled in the pines and your DP is perfect for this (are my eyes playing tricks or is that hunter green?!) A wonderful masculine card!!
