Bouquet of Flowers

I know, I know.....it's Friday and I don't have a "Funny Friday" again.....um...maybe next week!
I was over at Margaret's blog (Black Shadow Creations) the other day and she had entered her scrap book page (which is fabulous!)  in a challenge that I'd never seen before called Simply Stampin'.  They have a sketch challenge this week and I really liked the sketch.....so you get a card made for this challenge instead of a Funny Friday.  Be sure and pop over to their blog and check out the sketch.  The challenge at Ooh-la-la Creations is themed "Thank You" and I'll also enter it in their challenge

I used a couple of SU images on here - Simply Soft for the image and Watercolor Trio for the sentiment.  Just about all the supplies used on this card are from SU.  I did a little sponging around the edges with some distressed ink and colored the flowers with Copics.   The ribbon got a little wonky on one side - but hey, what can I say....it just seemed to flop down as I took the photo!  The pink background was embossed with the Stripes folder but you can just barely see that in the photo.  I'm just about to give up on photographing any card that has pink on it!!!  Everything looks so washed out in the photos!

Anyway, thanks for stopping by...............and have a great weekend!

Lynn

  3. I don't think this looks washed out at all. I love the way you used two sprigs of flowers, your wonderful coloring, the tiny pearl centers the bow and colors.

  10. I like the sketch and I'd be playing along if I wasn't working on so many other things! I love the colors on this card, and those fonts are just GORGEOUS! The sentiment lends such a graceful feel to those pretty flowers! NJ!

  11. This is so pretty, Lynn!! Love the little pearl centers on the delicate flowers! Ribbon gives me so much grief. By the time I finally tie and acceptable bow, I'm usually exhausted, let alone trying to get all parts of the finished bow to stay where I want them to! :o) Too bad I like ribbon. I'm just simply bow impaired.

What a coincidence because just this morning I picked this set out as a hostess gift I'm getting. Those little pears aree the perfect embellie and I like how you've tied the bouquet together with the bow .
