On The Bandwagon

It seems everyone is making cards for Christmas right now!  I thought I might as well jump on the bandwagon and get going on a few too.


This is a very simple card using some textured white and gold card stock.  The image and sentiment are from Snow Swirled and one of my all time favorites.  I heat embossed the tree and sentiment in gold and then added a few small pearls.  The ribbon (although it looks brown in the photo) is also gold.  This was NOT what I started off to do I'm afraid.  I had the entire card pictured in my mind - which is very rare - and was going to add a small bow with some gold cord in the corner.  I got the card completed and realized I had no gold cord!!  I have three rolls of silver, but no gold could be found - so I used the ribbon instead.

I'll enter this in the challenge at Less is More (Gold) and 2 Sisters Challenge (Christmas in July with Bonus of no red or green).

    Lynn this is so pretty! I love the ribbon even if it wasn't meant to be used...it is so pretty and fits in perfectly with that beautiful tree :)

    Lynn, this is also one of my favorite stamp sets. I just love it and so much can be done with it, but I adore your card just the way you did it. Total class! white and gold with touches of pearls. Can't beat it. Looking forward to seeing more of your cards this week. enjoy!

    THis is such a stunning card Lynn! It's the simplicity and elegance with gold that won me over - plus this is my favorite all-time Christmas stamp set too! I love those tiny pearl accents - they dress this up perfectly!

    So I am not the only one who pictures one thing, but my brain and fingers just don't listen....well no one really listens to me....but you would think the fingers might :) This is gorgeous just the way it turned out and now you have that jump on the Christmas holiday.

    This is GORGEOUS!!Snow Swirled is a favorite of mine too! Love the embossing on the textured paper, such a beautiful effect! And that ribbon is fabulous too!
