Let The Sun Shine

Well, summer is finally coming to an end - at least in some places.  School has started once again and the weather should be turning a little cooler.....HOPEFULLY!  It's still awfully hot here - but if I can't complain about the hot weather I can always complain about the cold!

This was a very quick card I did yesterday - not much to it and am not even sure I like it, but it'll make a good note card to send to someone.   It doesn't have a lot of 'oomph".   I used a Hero Arts stamp and a sentiment from MFP.

Thanks for stopping by.......and I'll be back tomorrow with my Shopping Our Stash and {Pin}spirational Challenge posts.  On one of these I was REALLY out of my comfort zone - but wanted to try it anyway.  See you then - and have a great Monday.

  2. Hi Lynn, the sentiment on this card has enough oomph and frankly with sunflowers, one doesn't need much. They speak on their own, you know, so sunny is their appearance. Your card is lovely. Sometimes we need just a card like this. It will come in handy for sure.

    Love,

  3. Lynn, I'm sure I like it. It has just the right amount of oomph for me. I love the flower and your wood grain looking paper in the background. As always, I'll be looking forward to your upcoming posts. You do provide me with a bunch of inspiration no matter which style card you showcase. Enjoy your day.

  7. Nothing says sunshine like a sunflower! I love how it's against a weathered background. Makes me think of an old barn with a garden of sunflowers beside it.

  9. Love the crackle background for the sunflower, Lynn, and that's saying a lot since I don't like crackle on much of anything! lol Love your coloring on the flower. I think the card has lots going for it. Clean, bright, bold, and wonderfully simple. What else is there?
