Froggie Music

I love frogs!!  When I was young, my cousin and I would get on our bikes and head for the nearest stream of water and catch those little suckers.  We'd put them in a coffee can, get on our bikes, and pedal on home.  Of course by the time we got home, they were pretty stiff!  Even at this age, I still like them (except for last year when one squirted Rambo in the eye, his head swelled up like a watermelon, and we had a horrid vet bill).  I think I like them a lot better on paper now!

This little froggie is from Penny Black  and I used some SU DP with it.  The sentiment is from The Alley Way Stamps.  I scored a bit around the image and am thinking I really needed a smaller button but couldn't find one the right color (without cutting one off a shirt).  The sketch is from CAS(E) this Sketch - and yep, I'm late once again and didn't get it entered in the challenge! Sigh!

I'll enter this in the challenge at Simon Says Stamps (A Bit of Green).

Thanks for stopping by.........
Lynn

  1. Lol, frogs can be very interesting. I live on the lake and you should see mating season! The pollywogs to follow make for super bass food.

This little fellow really does rock. Love the clean lines of the card

  10. That Tuesday deadline is a killer for me too - I miss it all the time! I love that cute little froggie stamp - but after what happened to Rambo I'd not be too excited about seeing them in person either. Poor pup!

  13. Lynn, This is an adorable, and apparently, a very talented frog. The frogs around here just make noise, but not with a guitar and they also squirt in my Molly's mouth when she tries to pick them up with her mouth. We've had a few occasions that we had to rinse her mouth out for long periods of time till the foaming would stop. I also think I like them better on paper these days. I think the button is just fine and it looks so good backed up with that paper.
Bracing for another storm tonight staying through Friday. Calling for anywhere from 4-10 inches. Here we go again.

  15. I love the PB frogs! Your card is just too cute. I will say that the only frogs I like are the stamped frogs. I had to empty the skimmer on the pool the other day and there were about 8 BIG frogs in the skimmer basket. You should have seen me trying to figure out how to get the basket out with one of the frogs touching me! Several of them were already belly-up, but over half of them were still hopping! I was a big baby about those silly things!

  18. Fun card, Lynn and beautifully executed - now cutting a button off a garment for a card is a bit extreme ;-).

  24. Don't you just love those PB frogs? They just crack me up... I always remember those pink ones you did and am going to CASE that sometime. This is great with the guitar and I like that sentiment. I am now off to check out those Alley Way stamps... I see them so much and I think it's time I got some!

  25. I like frogs only on paper, Lynn, and this one is so cute with his guitar and matching musical sentiment. The green polka dotted paper and button match so well together.
So you liked frogs as a kid!!!! Lol. Now I think that is brave. I cannot be anywhere near those slimy creatures.
    Love,
    M

  27. Cute card. I think I have this stamp. I'm not a frog fan, but DH is, so I'm always on the lookout for cute frogs. (Don't like the realistic looking kind!). Love the way you did your layout & scoring, and I think your button is just fine! Nice papers too. TFS
