Flight

A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to win some fan-tas-tic blog candy from Ellen's blog, The Serendipitous Stamper.  If you've never seen her blog, scoot over there now and be prepared to be WOWED!!!  All of her creations are just breath taking beautiful!

Anyway, back to the goodies I won - a butterfly die from Impression Obsession (that I'd really been wanting) and some All Purpose Frost White Ink from Tsukineko.  That Frost White ink shines, shines, and shines some more.....so beautiful.  Ellen also had a tutorial on her blog using the ink and the die - so, what's a gal to do other than try and CASE her card - not really, but I did have a banner type thing on mine!  There's no way I could ever match the beauty of hers, but I've given it a shot anyway.  Y'all know that my idea of a new technique is probably just getting a new embossing folder and sticking it in the Cuddlebug.........but..........here goes........

I cut the solid die in Very Vanilla and the detail one in black...sponged some Brilliant Blue, then CTMH Bamboo, and lastly Orchid Opulence on the solid piece.  I added the Frost White ink and watched it shine!!  I wish you could see it in the photo.   I then layered the black detail part over that.  I embossed the white panel and actually scored down the sides of that blue banner - but it doesn't show up on here.

Thanks for stopping by...................
Lynn
