Slacking Off

I've really been a slacker here lately!!!  It was just such a busy week around here and I haven't even gotten back to the craft area at all.  I MUST do that this weekend though - because I got new goodies!  Yea!!!  Now I just have to make the time to play with them.

You're seeing another butterfly card I made last week using the IO die and Frost ink.  I went with the orange and browns this time which indicates it's a September type butterfly card.   Take note of the DP I used.........it was so pretty and all I had was this one little piece so decided to use it up.  Great, fine, wonderful......got the whole card finished, looking good, no real horrible blobs on it........and then realized the DP is upside down!!!!!!!!!  Such is life!

We're not seeing any butterflies around here.  Spring came and went in a matter of about 3 days I think.  Now it's just HOT (got up to 101 degrees today) and dry!  I feel like I'm living in the freaking desert!  This is Texas weather for you.  It's ok if I complain about it though because when it does start raining again (if I'm still alive) I can complain about too much water!

I'll enter this is the challenge at Sketch Saturday.

Thanks for stopping by.........and have a great weekend
Lynn

  1. Lynn, this paper is wonderful... something very classy and soft about it. Never mind if it is upside down, it is not noticeable at all. And you know what I did once? I had a piano note print ribbon and I stuck it upside down. And I put it on my blog and realized it after many days. Lol.
Your butterfly is very pretty. I cannot wait to see your cards with your new goodies.

    Hope all is well.
    Love,

  2. Love your card and that patterned paper is gorgeous! When it's that hot, the best place to be is in your air conditioned craft room! :-) Enjoy your weekend.

  4. A lovely butterfly Lynn. Wow, your weather doesn't give you much of a chance to get used to heat gradually. We had that a couple of weeks ago, now it's rainy and chilly.

  8. The paper only looks upside down if someone tells you it's not right and you squint really hard! Looks good to me. I love all that brown! We've had some of that hot weather too, but some good rain today.

  9. The paper is only upside down if you tell everyone. :-D If you planned to use it that way, then it's perfect. I love the lone butterfly and the pearls. Magnificently simple card.
