Toadily Toady


It's Friday!!!  Everyone can put on their happy face now and jump for joy! 

A short note here ---- I've found as I get older that my mind says I can do something, however, the body just does not cooperate in any way shape or form - Like skydiving.........Sure, I CAN DO THAT!!!  Only as long as they had the ambulance on the ground waiting for the body to hit!!! 
Well, for some reason, I feel that my card making is running into the same problem - I see all these fantastic cards in blog land (CAS and fancy) and think I CAN DO THAT......and then when I get back to my little hole in the wall, not the body but the mind totally shuts down.  I sit there staring at the wall, oohing over all the great craft supplies.....and get nothing!  I end up making something that I hate even though I'm sure it looks just fine...............SO, I'm taking a few days off here - no computer, no crafting......zilch!!!!  I'm not ignoring you by not stopping by your blog but just need to take several days.  I'll be back with all my usual bull before you know it.

    Well I hope you weren't referring to this card when you said something you hate because I think this is cute as a button, but I "toadily" understand how you feel. I was thinking of doing the same thing. I don't know if it's because of the heat or what, but I can't ( or don't want to) seem to do a thing. I don't even want to sit down to color with my Copics never mind putting a whole card together. Enjoy your break from electronics. I may very well do the same thing here. We'll see you when we see you.

    Oh how sweet his he, Lynn. And the daisy is smiling away all popped up. It is lovely, Lynn and atleast he is toadily happy even if you are not. The ribbon and striped paper look really nice.
    I am taking a break as well from cardmaking... so I know how you feel but knowing us we will be back faster than imagined.

    Oh Lynn,I will miss you these few Days!! But you take that break!! You deserve it! I dont know what it is but I Feel the same way. I visit Blogs,Pinterest,SCS,ETC!! And think how do these ladies come up with soooo many ideas. Including your blog. You always come up with super CAS Cards, Including this one!! I just love that Adorable image. And the Semtiment is too CUTE!! Love the colors TOO!! TFS

    We all need a break now and then, Lynn! My own mojo was completely missing a few weeks ago and I wanted to pull my hair out! I hope you find fresh inspiration and energy in your time away and come back as vibrant as that adorable frog! :) Enjoy!

    Have a wonderful break, Lynn. I know how sometimes it's just necessary to do a complete shut down.
    Love what you've done with this cute little toad. It reminds me that I have that same set and haven't touched it in ages. I'm going to go dig it out. :-D

    LOL, I hear ya Lynn! Nothing wrong with taking a much needed and deserved break to recharge the batteries and re-energizing the mojo! I might be due myself her in the next few days, lol Wish we lived closer, I'd mix us up a batch of Margaritas and we'd kick our feet up for a bit! ;-) In the mean time I LOVE your Sweet Penny Black Froggy!     I must validate your feelings Lynn, because they are your feelings, but this little card is toadally adorable. Love that cute image and your CAS layout. That is something that I find hard to do and yet you pull it off so well. I hope your little hiatus will bring you back with a new outlook and in a happier creative place.

    Well, not sure why you may not like this card - but I "Toadily" love it!!! That happy little guy springing up and the bright orange with the greens, and the clean, white space - it all just makes me smile!

    It's a versatile card and that is a plus too!

    this card does indeed make me TOADILY happy, it is sooooo fun and so bright and SO VERY lovely...as are all your cards, as far as i can tell!     I know exactly how you feel, Lynn!!! Sometimes all it takes is a little time off to rearrange the old brain cells....I have to take lots of breaks just to keep my cells alive...LOL!!! Your card is adorable with that fun and happy little frog...beautiful CAS design!!!

    Oh Lynn, you said what I feel all the time, but you expressed it so perfectly! Now I love this card, and my DH would too. In fact I have this frog, never inked it. Bought it with him in mind. I read about your Pinterest surfing, and you were describing me too! I have tons of pins, (gonna make 'em). Then when I go downstairs at night to 'create', the mind blanks out. I took the laptop downstairs thinking I could get on Pinterest, see some stuff to (ahem) CASE. Never do-ed it yet. And sometimes you just gotta slow down. Me, I just gotta catch up with behind blog visiting. Hugs & look forward to when you return to cardmaking. Your cards are ALWAYS lovely...I've yet to see one I didn't think was great and wish mine looked that super good! Hugs

    I get what your saying girl! Blog Breaks are NECESSARY! Should be required by law!! Whether due to creative meltdowns, lack of inspiration, schedule craziness or whatever........enjoy the break!
