Triple Dose of Doxies

How about a triple dose of doxies to brighten everyone's week!

VERY simple cards (but hey, it's a super busy week around here and won't get any better until Wednesday of NEXT week!).  The die for the doxies (rhymes!) is from Memory Box and I used a couple of snippets of DP from wherever....just sitting on my craft table ready to go in the trash!  The sentiments on both cards are from SU Teeny Tiny Wishes.  I added a bit of twine and they were done.  The second card was actually mailed to a blogging buddy (Maria) in April.

I'll enter the first card in the challenge at Pixie's Crafty Workshop - using snippets.  I just recently discovered this challenge and think it's going to be so much fun.

Ok, so you're wondering where I came up with TRIPLE in the title of the post......Here goes doxie number three...............

Yep, poor little Rambo!  On Saturday evening, Jim and I noticed that Rambo was limping a little ever so often and just didn't want to play at all.  On Sunday all he wanted to do was sleep - not play or eat much or anything.  Now, this is NOT Rambo at all - I mean he's basically four legs in motion all the time!  We kept looking at his foot and couldn't see a single thing wrong with it and finally figured he either stepped on something and bruised it or some type of bug bit him outside.  Monday rolls around and he's not any better at all so we loaded him up in the car to visit the vet........Nothing serious at all except that one of his toenails had pulled away slightly from the foot.  They did their thing to get it all better and wrapped his foot (to match the tag - LOL)!!  Everything seems almost normal with him again and he's back to four legs in motion and going strong!

Thanks for stopping by...............
Lynn

  8. These two cards are very tastefully done and very nice. But the 3rd Doxie is just so darn precious. Poor Rambo. I'm glad it wasn't anything too serious, but I'm sure Rambo thought it bad enough not to want to play or walk around too much. I like the matching colors but it will be nice when his little brown foot is back to normal. Brown and blue go very well together. LOL Enjoy the week.

  10. Loved your Doxie card...I'd seen that MB die, wondered how it would look. Wish they'd do a greyhound for my granddogs. Always your cards have such clean lines, a dramatic focal image. Great card! Poor little Rambo. Those toenails can be hurtful. Hope he's feeling all bettah by now. Loved his color coordination too. TFS & Hugs

  11. Fabulous cards Lynn! And poor little Rambo - what a beautiful face he has and those eyes :)

Welcome to the Playground, hope you come back and play regularly. Just don't let Mrs A persuade you to try out the diving board into the duck pond!

  12. Di again Lynn. Yup, I sorted the link out fine - don't let that ever put you off coming to play! And Carol had also dropped me an email which I just found too.

Been peeking back through your blog and you seem to have a few very similar/same even stamps as I have. But I don't have a Rambo, sigh. I did laugh about the little s____ running away :)

  24. Oh, Lynn, your cards are super, but that picture of Rambo is just the best!! I may have told you this already, but I was never a fan of the doxies, until I went for a prolonged visit with my sister after her husband passed away suddenly. Her doxie is Lucy and she stole my heart.

OMG, how intelligent are those dogs?? Those eyes! That silky fur! I am totally smitten.

We have always been big dog people and we've been dogless and okay with it for many years. But if I ever get the urge (and can convince Mister), I would defo get a doxie! You are so blessed to have Rambo and I'm so happy he is back to himself!

(Lucy even killed a 4' snake in my sister's yard that had been freaking her out for weeks! How cool is that?!)
