Ribbit, Ribbit

I was rummaging around in my crafting area yesterday looking for something other than this.  A couple of croaks later and this is what you get!  I just love the expressions on these little guys faces.  The stamp is from Penny Black.  I used some white watercolor paper so I could use the Intense pencils and just now notice that paper isn't as white as the card base!  It's suppose to be white - um.....maybe I've just had it too long..........

Not much else to say about this one but I used a sketch from Retro Sketches and will enter it in their challenge.  This pretty much follows the sketch to a tee.  It's just too hot to think outside the box right now.

Thanks for stopping by........
Lynn

  10. That is always how looking for something goes at my desk - I find 100 other things, and want to use them RIGHT NOW. This is why it always looks like a hurricane's just been through ;)
If the watercolour paper & the card base aren't the same exact thing, then nope, they won't match. There are apparently billions of shades of white. I hate that.

  12. Toadily beautiful Lynn - I often find white card stock differs in it's 'whiteness' between companies... frustrating but I don't fret about it now.

  15. Awwwww, what a fun and cute image! Your coloring is super. Maybe I should try my pencils on watercolor paper, watching out for the million shades of white issue though. Ugh.

You nailed the sketch. Love it!

  17. What a fun card! I love Penny Black stamps and only have a very few! I don't think white watercolor paper is ever as white as the cardstock. It's not noticeable on this card, at least not in the picture. Have you had any rain with that hot weather? Seems like you mentioned drought last year. We're soggy here. I hope you're getting some of it too.
