I want y'all to look at those stamped dots.......they're ALMOST straight!!! Of course, this was the fourth or fifth try with them - but they're close to being straight - or at least as straight as I'd ever get them! The other thing that makes me happy are the balloons........woohoo!!! On Pinterest the other day there was a video of making the balloons from a small oval punch and the foot of the owl punch! Hey, I can do that - and did. I used some baker's twine to tie them all together! Yea......card finished!
I used the sketch from
CASe This Sketch and will enter it in their challenge. I'll also enter it in the snippets challenge at
Pixie's Crafty Workshop and
Drunken Stampers for twine.
Gorgeous card,love the design.xxx
ReplyDeleteWow, the balloons are fantastic, love the polish and shine they have! Great card and the lines look stright to me!
ReplyDeleteSo cute. Love the colors and the balloons look great. Wouldn't have though to use owl feet for the bottom of a balloon.
ReplyDeleteWOW! What cute balloons! I love them! And that is such a clever way to punch/make them. Very creative!
ReplyDeleteHi Lynn, these balloons make me happy :-) and the dots look so matching with them. They are just fine as they are. Love it all.
ReplyDeleteLove,
M
And I love the baker's twine to tie them.

Hi there Lynn, sorted your link out. In the process you'll see that this card is number 14 or so and your previous one is down at the end (as I type). It's the vagaries of Mr Linky but I thought you might prefer them spread out, just the places have switched. If you'd rather I put this one at the very end I can do that, it'd go after your lovely banners card.
ReplyDeleteI know what happened, your original entry just took me to your blog, not the post itself. If you click on the post title and then cut and paste the expanded URL into Mr Linky folk will go to that specific post. Mr Linky throws a wobbly if anyone tries to link the same link again (ie. a link that just goes to your blog) and I think that could be what happened on your second attempt with this card. Don't fret over it - I can always sort it out easily - ish!!!
LOVE this card, so fresh and those balloons are great - beautifully thought out design and so perfectly made.
Hugs, Di xx
Bravo! Well done on the dots (smile). This is a delightful card -- so fun and just makes me feel good looking at it!
ReplyDeleteFab card Lynn! Those balloons are so cheery and I read how you made them... very creative! The dotted lines look straight enough to me. Those things make me nuts and I waste more paper trying to get it so perfect!
ReplyDeleteLOVE finding new, clever uses for punches & the owl feet made me laugh but they ARE perfect for the balloons! Great card!
ReplyDeleteThose dots would have driven me crazy!!! They look straight to me. And the balloons are wonderful. The swipe of white makes them look shiny.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful Lynn, I love the gorgeous balloons and the twine.

What a clever way to make balloons! I'll have to remember this idea! Your card is delightful with the fun colors and patterns.
ReplyDeleteOh Lynn this is a stunner - your lines of dots are straight - it's an optical illusion if you think otherwise ;-).
ReplyDeleteLove those shiny balloons.
Blessings

ReplyDeleteLove the colours you used! Thanks for playing along with the Drunken Stampers this week for the twine challenge!
ReplyDeleteGreat card Lynn, I love the little rows of dots with the balloons. With the balloons popped up it makes them really look like they are floating! REally pretty ;)
ReplyDeleteHooray on the balloons, Lynn! They're perfect and I love the paper you used. I could do that if only I had an oval punch, which I don't. :-(
ReplyDeleteI love the way you did the twine, individually for each balloon and then tying them all together. Looks fantastic!
Wonderful CAS card. The colors are wonderful and your balloons are very clever! Xoxo
ReplyDeleteThis is another 'happy' card. I need to see that pinterest thing making these punched balloons. They are _so_ cute! love the matching bakers twine, and your dots looked fine to me, lady. I just love those cheery, bright colors. It's just a feel good card, well done. TFS & Hugs
