Die-Mania

For some reason or another, I seem to be on a die rolling kick around here!  I've got several dies and every time I decide to make a card I grab one instead of a stamp.  I'm really thinking that due to the hot weather we've been having I'm just getting extremely lazy!!!  I need to get back into the ink again for sure - and will!

I stumbled across a blog the other day called I'm in Haven......oh my........fantastic cards!  I was sitting here drooling over all her pretty cards - and her use of this die - and then remembered I have that die too (thanks to someone VERY special) !!

I know this is very clean and simple but that tree is so pretty I didn't want to add anything else to the card other than the twine and sentiment.  I used snippets of three different fall colors and placed them behind the cut out leaves.  I used Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango, and Pumpkin Pie.  Nice fall colors!  The sentiment is from SU.

I'll enter this in the challenges at Hiding in my Craftroom (super scraps) and Pixie's Crafty Workshop (snippets).

Thanks for stopping by...........
Lynn

  3. Hello Lynn,
So we have something in common... I am on die buying spree too. Lol. Sometimes it is so much easier not to work with stamps.
This card is lovely and the earthy colours look really nice. The tree die, you are right, looks nice the way it is as a focal point.
    Love,

  12. This is simply gorgeous, love the colors and if by using only dies, you create such master pieces then it won't harm if you can take a break from stamping for sometime :)

  26. I know exactly what you mean! I seriously look at stamps and think...do I really want to take all the time to color?! I've been 'cheating' quite a bit...my neck appreciates the vacation from coloring. I am so darn near sited that I have my nose about three inches from the paper - and end up gnawing on ibuprofen before I done with the Copics!
I really really like the sentiment on this!

  31. Lovely as a tree! And I LOVE dies, maybe cause I don't stamp so well as you do!! Our minds must be running parallel, I was working on a similar tree (no die!) last night. Not ready to share just yet. Yours is beautiful, with your marvelous style. I see your MoJo has returned (not that I thought it was ever away!) in full force. Enjoyed this pretty card. TFS
