Tagging Along

I never make tags much except at Christmas and even then I'm more inclined to just slap one of those store bought sticker tags on the bottom of the present where it already has the "to" and "from" and let it go at that.  I'm in need of Christmas cards more than tags right now anyway- so I made a tag and just put it on a card.  Worked out pretty good.

The tag itself is a vanilla color that I embossed with a SU embossing folder.  I stamped the sentiment (SU) on it and then added a tiny strip of green card stock.  The baby poinsettias were done with the Small Poinsettia die from Poppy Stamps.  I shined them up with the Wink of Stella Pen and added a tiny pearl to the center.  The lace matches the color of the tag.  This was all mounted on a piece of Real Red card stock. Another Christmas card completed!  Christmas isn't that far off now.

Thanks for stopping by...........
Lynn

  2. Lynn, what a gorgeous tag card. I love those little poinsettias and the embossing on the tag. I'm like you and don't get many and sometimes no tags made for Christmas...just store bought. Maybe that would be something to make all year long so I would have them come Christmas.

  5. Oh so pretty. That Very Vanilla goes so well with the Real Red. I really like those poinsettias and that Wink of Stella works nicely on the red. I thought I was the only one to slap a tag on the back of gifts. I'm glad to see that I'm not. GMTA! Well, my friend, have a great day.

  19. I think you should try a few more tags, Lynn! This is really well-designed in every way! I agree with you about putting them on cards as a better option. It seems a bit more worth all the work than knowing they will just get glanced at and swept up in the rubbish when opening presents! On a card, it can be displayed and maybe even kept or recycled. Love it! Hugs, Darnell
