Froggie Madness

I think I must have gotten a little bit weirder with all the Christmas happenings going on lately, but every time I see a card with a frog on it now, I want it bad!!!  Frogs really aren't all that good unless you're dining on their legs I guess (Uck!) but I'm loving all of them right now.

It's a good thing I'm having this love affair with the little guys because blogging buddy Darnell sent me a Christmas card and this stamp from Personal Impressions included!  Thanks again Darnell - I love him!  Check out Darnell's blog - such fabulous creations and I guarantee she'll leave you in stitches with her posts!  Jim and I love to fish so this just fit the bill to make a cute "just because" card for him.

I colored it up with Intense Water Color pencils and added a little glossy accents to the fish bowl (minnow keeper).  The sky was sponged with Distress ink and then used a few scraps of paper and ribbon to finish it off.

Since I'm pretty hung up on frogs right now, be prepared as you may be seeing more in the near future!

    What a nice job you did with that sky of yours. I'm not crazy about frogs but this one is the happiest looking one I've ever seen. I love the corner treatment and your papers. Very good coloring job on him. Have a fun day. We got about 8-12 inches of snow depending on the drifts in the yard. Jack had a ball this morning snow blowing. He did out big driveway and two neighbors. I was only "allowed" to do the 4 front door steps so that wasn't bad at all. It is a nice fluffy snow.

    Fabulous card! The gingham paper goes so well with the cute lil' fishing frog!

    From one frog-lover to another, you have created the perfect scene for Fischer! (I've just named him on the spot; I don't remember if the stamp had a name.) The red-gingham is perfect to go along with his spiffy hat and neckerchief and those clouds are astounding!! I can't wait to see the parade of froggie delights you will give us in 2014, Lynn!!
