Krafty Heart

I thought I'd throw in another little 4 by 4 heart card today that was a breeze to make.  Gotta love those CAS and quick cards you know.

I used some Kraft card stock and embossed it with the Square Lattice folder from SU.  I die cut a white Memory Box Whimsy Circle and then also cut the heart from a Simon Says Stamp die.  The sentiment is stamped in Versamark and embossed in white.  Just as a little something extra I wrapped some twine around the heart.

A quick little Valentine card that may just go to Jim.  He's not real big on Valentine's Day......used to give me a box of candy but since I'm not a big sweet eater I told him not to do that anymore.  Then he went with the flowers - hey, come on....they just wilt and die.  Next was a fancy, smanchy pair of earrings.......Somehow they just never look right with shorts, sweats, or jeans!  LOL!  Finally I told him if he couldn't give me that Corvette that I've been dreaming about for years, to just give me a hug.  Needless to say, I get a nice hug every single year!!  It works!

I'll enter this in the challenge at Addicted to CAS ( Die Cuts), Mod Squad Challenge (my three favorite things used on this card are Die Cuts (heart and whimsy circle), Twine, and Kraft Cardstock, and Pixie's Crafty Workshop (snippets).
Thanks for stopping by............
Lynn

  1. Lynn, this is such a wonderful CAS card. The twine looks perfect for making it a "boy"/"man" card. I loved reading your post. Your choice of a valentine gift from hubby is just perfect. A big hug does make the heart feel good. :-)

  18. Great CAS! I have all the elements you used here, now why didn't I think to make this beauty?! Love it! You've combined all the elements & colors to make a very special card for Mr.Jim. I'm with you on the candy, flowers, etc. A nice dinner is a good option. More craft supplies too. (YES, I DO need more! Bet you do too!) TFS, Hugs & stay warm.

  23. Beautiful CAS card..perfect the V'Day!! I love Valentines Day, what I love is making cards for it, but I am with you on the gifts, I just usually make us a steak dinner and call it a night...lol...but one year he brought me home a Dairy Queen Heart shaped ice cream cake...which was funny as I am not a huge ice cream eater and I really can't stand those DQ cakes...he loves them...so guess who ate it?? And anybody that came over got a piece, so he wouldn't know I wasn't eating it..LOL!!

  27. I think hugs are the greatest thing in the world, and they certainly were wonderful at Christmas. I like the way you think, Lynn! :-D Great card. I just love that embossing folder and am so glad I got it last year. If I hadn't seen it on something you made, I never would have realized how versatile and gorgeous it is.

  38. I love the embossing in the background! So simple & so gorgeous. And we're pretty much the same on Valentine's Day - I think most long-time marrieds are. We might go out for dinner, but flowers? Super expensive then. Chocolates? Diabetic, silly husband (only took him 4-5 years to adjust to that one, lol). Time spent together :)
