Just Ducky

It's a ducky kind of day around here - meaning we've been having some rain showers.  Been pretty nice and we're loving the green grass.  Rambo thinks he's in hogs heaven when he rolls around in the grass and doesn't have to just deal with dirt.  

This cute little guy/gal is from Deedee's Digi's.  It comes in pre-colored or line where you can color it yourself....plus some cute sentiments too.  I used the line version and colored the duck and then paper pieced the umbrella and boots.  The sentiment is from Mama Elephant.  I was going to use one of the sentiments that comes with the set of images but wanted to emboss it on vellum, so ended up stamping one instead.  I used a rain drop stencil in the background with some embossing paste.

    I thought this weekend was going to be a real wash out and it's actually not been too bad :-)

    I love this cute ducky with his polka dot boots and umbrella, Lynn! Still raining here, so I am greatly in need of my umbrella, but I sent it off with my son and his administrative assistant when a gully washer came while we were having lunch together at a restaurant in town. His car was parked much further away then mine. Now it will probably be Mother's Day before I see him again.

    This littl3 is so darn cute. We feel like him at the mo as it has been raining for so long and is predicted for one more week. Drat! Want to get the gardening bed finished. Two raised beds built and one to go and then I can finish planting! Yay!
