Early or Late?

The jury is still out on this one as to whether I like it or not.  AND.....I'm either a little late for Easter or really, really early!  At least I'll have it done for next year though.

I used some of my grade school watercolors (sorta like the ones we used way back when) to do a color wash behind the image and then colored the image with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and water.  I'm thinking the colors on the image are a little too intense for the background wash but then again, maybe not.  It is what it is though.  The image is from Mark's Finest Papers and a tiny butterfly and sequin were added.

I'll also take this card over to the Watercolor Blog Hop that's being sponsored by Pretty Pink Posh.

Thanks for stopping by.............
Lynn

  7. Lynn, this is so soft and pretty!! I think your background is most definitely of a water color wash...this is what mine was supposed to be and my colors are way darker than yours! :) That image is so fun and good for you on being early for Easter! Happy Sunday!

  28. Aren't you clever to get the jump on Easter?! Nope the main image colors are definitely not too intense for the background wash. Just right! Pretty image, beautifully colored, and I think you have the watercolor technique mastered! Can't wait to see how you like these new tools! TFS
