Penguin Polka (Dots)

There's just something about penguins that always put a smile on my face.....I mean, I was the one that couldn't wait for the movie Happy Feet to come out and can still watch it over and over again.  Move over grandkids, this movie is for ME!   Penguins make me smile - but then of course, polka dots too!  So why not combine both and have double the happiness!

Once again I used the Winter Wishes stamp set from Jane's Doodles making a small winter holiday scene.  I perched the Santa hat on his head, added an Impression Obsession pine die, stamped a few snowflakes in the background, and added the fun polka dot paper!   Originally, the sentiment was added directly on one of the 'hills' - but if you stamp something like that and then rub your hand over it too quick, it really will smear!  Duh!!!!  A quick fix though by adding the strip with the sentiment on it.

I'll enter this in the challenge at Pixie's Crafty Workshop (snippets).

After today I won't be around for a while but will see everyone after Thanksgiving sometime.  If you celebrate Thanksgiving I hope you have a wonderful day.

    I love your sweet penguin on your awesome card! There really is something about Penguins that makes me happy too! Love the polka dots background, it looks like colorful snowflakes coming down! And we would never have known that there was a mistake behind that great sentiment tag!

    Oh squeal Lynn!!!! ADORABLE! You already know (at length) just how much I adore the stamp set you used - wonderful with the 'hills' and a great save with the sentiment. Just how I feel that particular stamp should be used.

    I remember watching a soundless penguin show called Pingu as a child and yes, I still love them. Aleeza has three penguins in her stuffed toy drawer and she seems to be ready to give them away to make room for new toys, but not me. I want them around. They are so cute and so is your card. The polkas work perfectly for snow.

    I totally get this about the penguins and Happy Feet. I remember watching it on the plane coming back from Ireland and I'm sure I looked ridiculous.. someone my age with such a huge grin but I truly loved that movie.
    This is a super cute card Lynn and I love how your hat & scarf use the blue on your paper... perfect match. Love the dies you used and that tree looks great on here.
