Gone to the Dogs

The jury is still out on this card!  I'll look at it one time and really like it and then the next time I look, I wonder what in the world I was thinking.  Does anyone else do that type of thing?  Anyway, it is what it is - and it's a done deal.   Right now I'm liking it but ask me an hour from now and I may have a different answer for you..........

I used some of the pups from one of the My Favorite Things stamp sets and perched the little chihuahua on top of the star for this birthday card.   Added some crystal drops and then added all of it to the raised white panel.  Lots of dimension but you really can't see it all from the photo.  Oh, and by the way.....that's a red star but sure is looking like a funky color in the photo.

I'm really liking all the sketches that MFT has and this week is no exception so I'll add it in their challenge.

Thanks for stopping by........
Lynn

  1. HI Lynn, the 3 dogs are really cute, but I really fancy the one on the left with the cute bows on her ears. The sentiment fits perfectly with the tiny dog on the top. Lovely card.

  2. I do that all the time Lynn! I like this card and find it to be super cute. The pups are sweet and I like how the chihuahua is on the top of the heap and quite literally 'the big dog'. I also like how you interpreted the sketch.
Hope all is well with you and yours.

  4. Oh what a fun card Lynn!! I love all of the sweet dogs and the fabulous layout, beautiful coloring too! I think this is an awesome card AND yes, I do the same thing... What was I thinking, why did I add this element here, put it off to the side for a few weeks and maybe it will change on it's own! LOL!
    Have a great weekend.

  6. Well I think it's just "dog-gone" CUTE Lynn! LOL! Sometimes I walk away from the project and even in the middle of it...sometimes when I come back the "craft fairies" do their magic work on it and it looks better! Sometimes not so much! :) I love your take on the sketch here too!! Hope you and hubby have a great weekend! HUGS

  8. I just LOVE this one, and it's the truth too! My chihuahua Corky was the top dog around our house and the dominant one between his younger chihuahua brother Joey and our mini dachshund Bitzi! He would have found a way to perch on the top of this star too, without a doubt! LOL I love it all Lynn, what a fun and cute take on the sketch!

  13. This is adorable. I love those tiny bows in her hair and the design is very cute. I know what you mean about liking your cards. Sometimes what's in my mind doesn't look right on my card. I did exactly what I wanted - what was wonderful in my mind, then I didn't like the card. Go figure!
