No Idea Here............

I made this card several weeks ago, stuck it in the mail, and promptly forgot all about it.  I did take a picture of it before shooting it off though so that's a big plus.  The problem is that I don't know what I did!  I have no earthly idea what I did!  I don't think I've lost my mind just yet, but you never know.  I'm going to blame the lapse of memory on the heat.  It's been entirely too hot this summer.

I do know I used a couple of stencils and maybe some distress inks.  That's it!  Oh, and the sentiment and die are from a Simon Says Stamp set.  It still made a nice birthday card no matter what I did I guess. I also think I should get some kind of Brownie points since I tried a different technique!

I'll enter this in the challenge at CAS Mix Up (stamping, stencil monoprint, and a die cut)

Thanks for stopping by...........
Lynn

  2. It's okay... I had to ask someone what the heck stamp set I used to make a card. I must start attaching sticky notes to them until I post them. Well Lynn, whatever ya did, it worked. Bravo!

  3. My memory fails me all the time, Lynn! And I used to have such a good memory! Now I can't remember what happened yesterday! Whatever you did to make this card looks amazing! Love it!

  4. Oh and the heat has been absolutely unbearable here too. There was another Environment Canada heat and humidity warning on the radio again this morning. It's just not fit here. We don't have AC - we never needed it before - but we certainly do now. Stay cool!

  5. It came out great regardless! It looks like ink smooshed on a block and spritzed with water, then stamped. I can sympathize with you because once I make a card and put things away, I don't always remember what I did or used. I got a great tip from Bonnie at http://bon2stamp.blogspot.com/. She said to use a post it on the back of the card with what was used. I think that would help me for sure.

  12. It's a lovely CAS, and I'm so glad you remembered it. Looks like smooshing over a stencil, or maybe your brusho-s? Whatever you did, works great for me, with the super sentiment treatment. We'll blame the heat for many things, right? TFS & Hugs

  19. It's a shame you can't remember what you did...because it's one you should make more of...It's so unique and creative! (And I won't talk about memory in this comment...) Yes, we can blame it on the heat! I'm old and I don't remember (memory again) it ever being a summer this hot and with so many HOT days!

  23. Sorry to be late commenting on this, but I left it in my inbox to make sure I got here when I could. This is stunning, Lynn!!! Someone may have already told you this, but CAS Mix Up Challenge is doing Stencil Monoprint. It totally looks like a winner to me!! It requires two other elements: stamping (check) and one other which is die-cutting (check), so you tick all the boxes, IMHO! I'm pinning to CASE! Hugs, Darnell
