Mice in the House

There's mice in the house for Christmas!!!

This time of year when it's pretty chilly outside (and we're still in a drought), the mice dearly love to come in the house!  Yikes!  Not good.  Our cat is pretty worthless when it comes to catching mice but Rambo, our doxie, takes up the slack and can flush them out in a heartbeat!

These little guys are just really too cute though to be chased by a cat or a dog!  A really quick "git 'er done" card for Christmas - that will go into a brand new stack for next year.  I used the Santa Paws set from Paper Shooches to complete the card and I added the red stocking cap from an old SU set.  After trying to do a one layer card on this and messing up the coloring (several times) I just decided I didn't need that much stress in my life, so I paper pieced them.  I used the sketch from Clean and Simple Stamping!

I'm really going to be hit and miss around here for a little over a week now so please be patient with me.  Christmas Eve will be spent with some of my family and then my daughter and granddaughters will be here the day after Christmas to stay a while. I'll try to get a post up before all the craziness begins though.........
Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!

Lynn

  2. Adorable! I love this little mousie :)
With 3 cats all the mice hang out outside in the woodpile....but we've had the dog flush out moles & even a few groundhogs. Not in the house, but she would love to bring them in to visit, I'm sure :)

  5. Such a cute card, Lynn. The little mice are adorable and carry the look well. This is a wonderful image (and sketch) for a CAS card. I think the paper piecing adds to the look (keeps it from being flat) without taking away from the CAS look. Well done!

Enjoy your holidays. Having grandkids visit is always a BIG plus. God bless and merry Christmas.

I think we're all going to be hit or miss until the holidays are over, so just relax and enjoy your family visits! We'll all re-connect in 2013 :) (if we get past tomorrow that is) *grin*
