The Mighty Buffalo

Man dies.
The mighty buffalo dies.
Only the earth and mountains live forever.

My husband, who thoroughly enjoys reading about Indians, read this in a book several years ago. We don't know where he actually saw it or who (tribe) said it... however it carries so much meaning.

This is a CAS card for a male. The image is from In Wilderness (SU) and the sentiment from Happy Birthday (CTMH). I also used the Sanded background stamp around the buffalo. I used Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze, Very Vanilla, and some CTMH DP. I decided not to color anything on this as I think the image, all alone, speaks for itself.

I'll be entering this in the following challenges:

The Paper Players - anything goes
Paper Sundaes - masculine
Cards for Men - masculine

Thanks for stopping by.............

  21. LOVE this! The image does look great uncolored. And the sanded background adds so much to the rustic character. I also like the layout and the contrast between the warm and neutral browns with the vivid, modern blue. The quote IS nice.

  23. Hi Lynn,

Sorry I have not been regular with my visits as I was busy selling my cards in my little one's school for the volcano tragedy in Indonesia.

We had 66 cards and sold 40! Now the next sale is on coming Tuesday and I gotta get more cards ready. This time the sale is in Zeenya's school.

This male card is just so ideal for a man - you make awesome male cards... the sanded look fits in so well. The image is like an etched photograph - needs no more detail.

    Hugs,

    Monica
