CAS Lighthouse

A very quick card AND post!  I've always been fascinated with lighthouses and when I found this stamp from Stampabilities I grabbed it.  I've never seen a lighthouse except in pictures but for some reason I'm drawn to them.    I'm really not liking the ribbon on here but tried using Baker's twine and that was just looking tacky - tried some regular type twine/string stuff - and it looked even worse. SO, ribbon is what you get.  Actually I think maybe it'd just look better with a sentiment at the bottom.  As I said, CAS - but hey, it did take a while to color so that counts for something I'm sure!!

Thanks for stopping by............and I'll be back tomorrow with my Shopping Our Stash and {Pin}spirational challenge posts!

  1. Great lighthouse, I love lighthouses and growing on the East coast, I have seen many, Hatteras Light being my favorite. You did a great job with this one, your coloring is perfect. Love the CAS with the ribbon, the red is beautiful. Have a cool one.

  9. Oh Lynn this is so elegant! Love the pop of red against the crisp white. I think lighthouses represent such beauty, so serene and watchful ;) and of course they are usually near an ocean :)

  10. Lynn, I love the lighthouse and even if you haven't seen one, you did a fabulous job of this one. I saw lots of lighthouses growing up. There is something mysterious about a light house at night with it's lights glowing. Watch for my latest Christmas stocking that I will be sharing closer to Christmas

  12. Lighthouses are favorites of mine, too, Lynn, but the only ones I've seen are along the West Coast, in Oregon and California, and I think they tend to be less spectacular than those of the East Coast. I like the red ribbon and bow and am not sure what you don't like about it. It makes the entire card elegant! :-D

  14. That's a pretty lighthouse, Lynn! And that squirrel looks so pitiful. I've seen them lay out like that. Poor little guys. It's hot here too!

  15. It is gorgeous!!!!!!! Wow - what a great stamp!

The bow is gorgeous as well.......but maybe a sentiment where the 'bow' part is - that might make it flow a little better. Either way - it's terrific :)
