Going for the Green

We have another Shopping Our Stash Challenge for you beginning today!  This go-round our theme is Go Green - or - Recycle something!  Be sure and pop over the the challenge blog and see all the creations from the DT.  When you enter, be sure and remember to use up some of that stash!

I decided to recycle something and also go green.  If you follow my blog you'll know I very seldom make a green card.  I must have 20 different shades of green card stock and just seldom use it.  But green is what you get today!  I embossed the light green layer, then added a piece of cardboard that came from a hair dryer box.  The leaves (from Autumn Splendor CTMH) were stamped over the Sanded background (SU).  For my sentiment I wanted to use a sentiment that came with the leaves set that said Falling Leaves.  Somehow I've lost the Leaves and just having Falling.....Grrrrrr....Hopefully it'll turn up somewhere.  SO, I just stamped Autumn for the sentiment and then added the bling.  Oh, I sprayed the image with Smooches - but of course it doesn't show up in the photo..........

I'll enter this in the challenges at Simon Says Stamp and Show (Leaf Inspiration) and Crazy 4 Challenges (Leaves).

Stay tuned and I'll be back in a minute with my {Pin}spirational Challenge post ......deer me........

  4. Lynn, Terrific card. Unlike you I tend to use green a lot. maybe too much. Isn't it funny how we all differ? Wonderful idea to use the cardboard. Love that leaf stamp. Have a wonderful week.

  7. This is a stunningly lovely card. The bow is fantabulous (like my new word?)! I am smiling about your comments about green and never using it. Green seems to be a staple "neutral" for me, and it seems as if most of my cards last month used green. None-the-less, your cards are always so lovely, and this was is no exception!

  10. Lynn - This is stunning! Simple and elegant! Love this card. I have the opposite problem. In my mind green is a neutral, so I use it all the time and am always running out. You did a great job...you should use green more often ;) lol

  15. Lynn, your autumnal card is so pretty. I love the soft green color you've used as your background. I also love the embossed look of bark. The leaves on the inset of your card are also very pretty. The bow and "AUTUMN" are very nice embellishments. Thanks for joining us at Simon Says Stamp and Show. <3 Candy

  24. I really like the green with just a hint of the fall colors, and your cardboard makes a wonderful stripe! So sorry to hear about the missing stamp. So frustrating! With your knack for puns, you could always team 'falling' with a 'for you' stamp!
