Throwing Down Some Colors

How about this bright little owl!!!  Just kinda gives you a happy feeling all over, right!

Y'all know I don't very often (if ever) enter color challenges - mainly because I seem to go into some sort of a panic mode at the mere thought of that!   Another one of those things that make my palms get all sweaty, start feeling dizzy, and begin to hyperventilate.  Well, it's high time I tried to overcome some of my fear and when I saw the challenge at Color Throwdown and loved all the bright and fun colors, I decided to give it a go.

The owl and sentiment are from Paper Smooches and I've colored him with Copics.  I embossed the Crumb Cake panel with that woodsy looking embossing folder from SU and all the paper (DP and solid) is from SU.

SHORT NOTE:   I've added a couple of things to my side bar in case you're interested.  The first is Bloglovin that everyone seems to be jumping on - and the second is to "subscribe by e-mail".  I'm hoping these little babies work since I'm not a computer whiz and really have no clue what I'm doing half the time!  (Special thanks to Connie for all my silly questions regarding this!).  Anyway, give one or the other a try if that's how you follow blogs.

Thanks for stopping by.........and hope you're having a great weekend.

  6. Oh what a cute owl. I really like that one paper in the background that looks like wood. Very cool. I subscribed by e-mail. That bloglovin thing arrives in my in-box at like 11:00 at night, I never look at it. Too tired.

  9. I'd like to thank Connie, too, because I want to subscribe and not miss any of your posts. Even though I follow a blog, it's easier for me to also subscribe because new posts come straight to my inbox and I don't have to go looking for them.

You should enter color challenges more often, Lynn! You did a sensational job with this one! I adore your bright owl card!!

  23. Just love these bright colors with your cute little owl guy. How wonderfully well your pink heart paper went with the bright yellow. Now I would not think to do this, & it's so pretty. Loved your coloring on Mr. owl, and off to check out your new sidebar items. I'll follow with Bloglovin, not sure I'm understanding all this. I also noticed Blogger still is allowing followers in the old way too. TFS such an adorable card.
