I was scrolling through my blog the other day for some reason and felt like all my cards were looking exactly the same!! A rut!!! So, even though this is a clean and simple card, I did try using some of my Distress Inks and sprinkling a little water on them, etc. The blending isn't perfect at all, but I'm working on that. The image is from Serene Silhouettes (SU) and was stamped with CTMH ink. I used some of the Confetti White card stock (also from SU) and love the color of that stuff, but don't really care for all the "confetti" in it. All of the specks were almost covered up by the main image panel. Just something a little different for me.

Not sure what you didn't like about your blending..looked lovely to me. Your water spots were great! I can't get mine to look that way. Must be the different ways we 'flick our fingers', eh? This card is very serene in look, yet still has your signature 'clean & white' touch. I think it's great...you did a good job. Love that silhouette against your colors...like a Texas sunset???Hugs & TFS - also, I didn't think you were in a rut either!!!

ReplyDeleteOooo, I love the exact effect you got on your background, Lynn. I don't know what else you'd need to practice -- this is magnificent! I have a ton of that confetti white paper and forget to use it. Depending on the project I'm doing, sometimes I love the confetti and other times I really could do without it. :-D

Well, I really like this technique, and I don't see anything wrong with the blending. I really like the water marks. Very pretty.
