Still Summer

Since we still appear to be smack dab in the middle of summer around here I thought it only appropriate to post a summery type card using my anchor die and set from Paper Smooches.  It's very similar to one I recently did, but hey.....sometimes the old brain just gets clogged up with too much stuff and you have to go with what you can.   That twine stuff is something I picked up at Walmart thinking it'd be just "the thing" to add to a nautical card.  Turns out though it's so stiff you can't really do much with it......will have to put on my thinking cap a bit more on that stuff I guess.

I may be (and then maybe not be) missing in action for a couple of days around here.  If you don't see me lurking around you'll know I haven't gone far though and will return.

I'll enter this in the challenge at Pixie's Crafty Workshop (snippets - silver anchor, twine, and tiny heart).

Thanks for stopping by.......
Lynn

  5. Lynn, great card and I love the sentiment. I was wondering if you could rinse the twine in some fabric softener. We will miss you and will watch for your next posting. Enjoy your summer day.

  8. Delightful! Love the way you have the anchor (love those MB dies, don't we!) 'set back' in that oval frame. You do this crisp white so well, and the brightness of your sentiment just pops. Great card. TFS

  10. Oh, I've had those purchases - when you get it home it won't work for its intended purpose. I usually use those kinds of twine/ribbon for wrapping presents :) It totally works here - it almost looks like it's wired?
And nothing wrong with going with what works - there's a reason we love what you do :)

  20. Lynn, great card and yes, it's still summer here too. Although, I think I did get a wiff of Autumn this morning. Your twine might be hard to tie, but it added the perfect touch! Have a crafty week.

This card is sooooo neat. I think this anchor die cut is FAB and the sentiment is very appropriate too. The touch of red gives it a spark.
