Sweet Stampin' Guest Designer

I was so excited to be asked to be the Guest Designer over at Sweet Stamping Challenge Blog for the month of February!   What an honor!!  It's a great challenge and I hope you'll stop by and see all the wonderful inspiration from the DT and play along in the challenge this week.  The theme is Valentine's and what could be easier and more fun for right now with Valentine's Day fast approaching!!  By entering you'll have a chance of winning a great prize package from the sponsor Crafter's Companion.

I went with some very non traditional colors for this Valentine's card that will be going to one of Jim's grandsons.  The monster stamp and sentiment are from Simon Says Stamp and were included in one of the monthly card kits.  For the banners and paper piecing on this little guy I just used some scraps I had on hand.  Of course no little monster would be complete with those googly eyes!  I'm really thinking I love this little guys green teeth and tongue too!

I'll enter this in the challenges at Pixie's Crafty Workshop (snippets for the banners and paper piecing the monster).

Thanks for stopping by...........
Lynn

  6. Oh, what a cute, little monster, Lynn. I love it. You know, I'm thinking maybe a toothbrush for Valentine's Day for him...instead of a box of candy. :-)

    Have a wonderful weekend.

  15. Hello Lynn,
Sorry but I have been so busy...
This card made me smile and I love this three eyed creature. Sure he is all eyes. Very unusual card for Valentine's. Hope you and Jim are well.
    Love,

  16. I love that darling little monster and the googly eyes definitely 'make' it! lol Going to take some inspiration from this since I have to make a whole bunch of CAS kids birthday cards. Michele wants to have a dozen or so on hand because of all the birthday party invites her kids get. It's so easy for her to just grab one from the stash even at the last minute. :-D

  18. This is awesome, and just the clean & cute look you do so well. This is a funny image and what you did with the embellishments is so totally right for the little creature. How you see these images & put such a fantastic card together blows my mind! (well, admittedly, that's easy to do..but well...you know). There was a Sweet Stamps vendor at the show yesterday, will have to see if it's the same company. Their rubber stamps are really nice. I hope this card is for Mr. Jim. TFS a sweet card to start my morning off with a smile. Hugs
OOps..nearly forgot to say Congrats on being asked to take on another DT assignment. Wow!

  19. I love this, Lynn, and wish I had this stamp. My grandsons love googly eyes. I could probably just give them some paper, a glue stick and a package of eyes and they'd be happy! Love this guy, green teeth and all! (He probably was eating some green candy, don't ya think?)
