Streaking Splatters

I got the bright idea the other day to try some of that splattering stuff that everyone seems to be able to do - except maybe me.  It looked SO easy!  I did get a few splatters - but got a bunch of streaking splatters too.  I also did some of the stacking on the die - you know, yellow/white/yellow/white, etc.  Surely I didn't expect to line them up perfectly - and didn't.  So I'm working on lining up the stacks and splattering.  By the time I master these little techniques, they won't be the "fad" anymore.  Sigh!  It was still a fun card to try and with the yellow and green it just makes me want to get spring here a little bit quicker.

Thanks for stopping by.............
Lynn

  2. I didn't even know these were fads. I need to get out every now and then huh? I think you did a marvelous job with this one. I LOVE it. The dots and splatters look fantastic together and it looks like you lined up your die pieces perfectly to me. I like how we can see the yellow on the sides of the letters. Anyone would be thrilled to receive this card. Wishing you a happy day.

  5. I love your splatters Lynn! I think the mixture of spats and streaks looks totally fabulous. I also love your stacked image and it sure looks like it stacked pretty evenly. If it make you feel better it never stacks even for me either. lol Try using a wet glue that doesn't dry to fast so you have time to move it around some. And if you find the secret to getting it perfect, let me know. lol Hugs!

  7. I can't splatter to save my life. Unless I have a white pristine card and then somehow accidentally get splatters on it, ruining it.

    Fun card!

  9. I LIKE it!! I've never tried the spattering/spattering technique yet, but I'd imagine no two are alike in any way! I love that layered sentiment - something else I have yet to try!! I need to experiment a whole lot more, because this is really a cool card!

  14. Wonderful card Lynn - it may not be what you had envisaged, but I love it!
I suspect you have a wee bit much water on your brush that caused the streaks, but it is still an effective background.

  15. I think this looks perfect! I was considering getting that grunge set, but if you can do this without the stamps, I'll rethink it. Course what you can do I may not....

Love that stacked sentiment. Perfect as is!

  16. Oh so cute! You aren't the only one who can't splatter & spatter (and add in paste embossing too). I think yours turned out pretty good, and great with the layering. So far I've only been successful with same color with the layering bit. If I try for the 'shadow effect' it has never looked as good as what you achieved here. So keep on, girlfriend. This one is very well done, and I'll be right there, at the end of the line with you. Rest up after the sausage making. TFS & Hugs
