Wheeeee.......Spring Sprung!

A sure sign of spring down in the area is when the mesquite trees start to bud out.  We saw our first little shoots on those trees yesterday - SO, that means no more freezes and spring is HERE!  Even though we never get terrible weather like the northern states, we do get chilly so I'm more than ready for some warmer weather.  My pocketbook is extremely happy too since it won't be shelling out money right and left for propane/electricity in order to keep warm!  Guess that means I can spend more on crafts now!  Wheeeeeee......

This image is from Squigglefly (Sassy Cheryl) and isn't she a cutie!  I colored her up with Copics and framed her in a Lil Inker die.  The patterned paper is from "somewhere" once again and the background is embossed with a Sizzix folder.  That's all for today folks!

Thanks for stopping by...........
Lynn

  1. Oh, she really is a cutie, Lynn. I think she is afraid of smelling that flower due to allergies. That's what I'm dreading because I'm quite sure that is my fate. :-(

I know what you mean about the heating bills. I think our lowest temp this year was 3 degrees one night. The heat never quits running on those nights.

  9. Mesquite is all fine and dandy until it starts in with that yellow fuzzy stuff. I'm allergic to the color yellow!

  18. Oh she is just plumb cute! I bet she is one mischievious little imp, and I like those snuggled down sox too. Great coloring, love the diagonal embossing with that pop of yellow. Gotta get some of those Lil Inkers, cause I love, love that stitching. Perfect for this cutie. Well done. (I hear propane is pretty pricey..we have Nat'l gas, and it ain't as cheap as it used to be either. Not so bad as propane I'm thinkin'. ) TFS & Hugs

  20. Too cute, Lynn! What a cute image. Somehow reminds me of myself as a kid -- a true tomboy at heart forced to wear a dress and be 'girly'!! Love the embossed background and the ribbon. Well done matching the bows in her hair and the patterned dp. :-D
