To Brighten Your Day

Going a little bright here today!

All of this was completed with the latest Simon Says Stamp kit.  The yellow for the light bulb was stamped in Momento Lux Dandelion and the the outline image stamped over it in black.  As far as lining up those boogers....NOPE, it ain't gonna happen with me!  LOL!  That's pretty well normal though.  I'm really thinking the solid image is larger than the outline one so that's what I'm going with!  I cut a piece of patterned paper that came in the kit, added the sentiment and heart, and then added a few enamel dots.  I covered the heart and light bulb with the Wink of Stella pen.  Fun and bright and maybe it'll even brighten someone's day!

Thanks for stopping by.........
Lynn

  7. Love the paper on the diagonal. And personally, if something comes out perfectly, then I must have done something wrong. I think you're right about the lightbulb. It has a natural border along the outside of the line :-)

  8. I'm with Benzi's comment on lighting up the day. It's drizzly rain & gray around Upstate SC. I love your card. I have the same problem with these dies & stamps (even the clear ones!). Actually it looked really cute the way you did this, so until you 'said', I didn't even noticed the solid & outline didn't behave nicely. Love that eyepopping color. I've only used the white luxe (not happy with my results). I did get some more of the luxe colors, but not used as yet. Your bright stripes were perfect with the bright yellow bulb, and the tiny trims were great to draw the eye right on up from the stripes. Great card. TFS it today, and Happy wkend.

  13. Lynn, this is a fun bright card. I have looked at these two stamping and the outline is smaller than the "light" so it's not you. Love that paper and your heart and dots. I wish this card could have brighten out day up here. It has not yet started to rain, but it is very dreary out here. Enjoy your weekend.

  22. I love how you did the light bulb even if you think it's crooked, Lynn. :-D Fantastic striped paper and having it on the diagonal is even better! I really like the enamel dots. Are those self stick or did you have to glue them on?

  29. Great card. The image is fab...yes, I also think the yellow is larger than the bulb...I think it is to mimic that look you get if you look up at a light bulb...the bulb gets sort of a halo around it!

Great CAS card. Love the stripey paper with this image.
