One Big Hug

I guess I'm just sending everyone a big hug today!  It's not a Funny Friday but still a Fun Friday.

I used some stamps from Simon Says Stamp and also The Alley Way Stamps.  The sun die and circle die are from Lil Inker and the rectangle die from My Favorite Things..  I colored the images with Copics and sponged in a little bit of sky.

Y'all have heard me complain for the last couple of years about the awful drought Texas has been in.........Well, no more!  It seems we've had a little bit more than our share of rain lately.  Jim and I are fine and no flooding at the house thank goodness - yet!  We live close to a small creek that becomes a raging river when we have rains like this but we were very lucky this time and haven't had a problem.  I understand that more is on the way though.  The garden sure is taking a beating.   Rambo has not been happy at all with all this rain - unless he spies a squirrel in the yard and then he doesn't seem to mind getting a little wet.

My heart goes out to those that have lost family or friends in all the floods.  So many people are still missing and so much property damage.  Very sad.

Thanks for stopping by.........and have a great weekend.
Lynn

  3. Your card is super cute and fun and I'll take hugs anywhere I can get them! I just love all those stitched dies, and I'm glad you've been spared so far from those raging floods in TX. It seems like just yesterday you said it was hard to grow a garden because it hadn't rained in TX for so long, and now it's gone to the other extreme. It's so sad to imagine what all those TX and OK folks are having to endure with mother nature.

My two are like that when it rains or snows. The just refuse to go our. They may melt you know. Have a good weekend and I'll keep my fingers crossed for better weather for you.

  11. Thank you for the hug and sharing this little cutie. He looks ready to get hugged rat back, and then put some grub in his bowl. Loved your cloud work, and of course the stitch elements. Great shadow work too. So glad that you guys are not getting flooded, it looks pretty gruesome on the news. I'm hearing that around San Diego, they are getting some rain as well, and they tend to dryness as well. Take care, TFS & a hug back to you & the crew as well.

  12. I've heard on the news and seen some photos about parts of Texas. In my area floods can occur frequently and many basements get water over our way. These things can be very dangerous and especially if you're not used to it. Best wishes for everyone your way and please stay safe.

Your card is soooo adorable Lynn!! I love the red colors in it with that pop of yellow for the sun!! Gotta love that sentiment too!! Enjoy your weekend! HUGS

  16. This is such a cute card Lynn, I love that you and this cute pup are sending hugs. lol You have colored him so cute too. I am so happy that you and Jim have been safe from all these rains and I pray it continues! My prayers are also with all those who have lost a family member and for those who are still missing. So terrible when these storms rage like this and so much flooding happens. I can't even imagine dealing with losing everything you own and a family member. I also hate to hear more rain is on the way, it's fine if it just rains a little bit, but when you get lots of inches in a few hours, well that is no good for no one. Hugs, Brenda

I'm so glad to hear you are safe. I was going to write this morning because we've been seeing reports of the devastation here on the news and I wondered if your area had been affected. I'm glad you are safe and I agree... it's heartbreaking for those who have lost family and property.

  30. Ah, so super cute! Who wouldn't love to receive a card that was just one big hug?! I love this, Lynn! I'm glad to read that you guys are okay where you are. Texas has been in our news out here day and night and my heart, too, goes out to all those who have lost so much. That one little family just broke my heart. I hope it calms down soon and that you don't end up with flooding there. Too bad we can't figure out a way to drain some of that water our way! Hugs, Darnell

  31. I need that sentiment - how fun! Cute dog. Your card is super adorable. Praying you stay safe and dry. It has rained a bit here in Central Alabama - our pond flooded out and who knows where our fish are now, but we are good. Fish can be replaced. May hugz!
