Back When

It's time for me to start getting some masculine type cards going for the year. Most of the guys birthday's aren't until later in the year but I figure there's no time like the present to start on them.

More than likely this one will be going to my son.  I'm always kidding him about getting old.....gosh, he's going to be a whopping 43 this year!  Doesn't seem possible since I'm not that old!
On the inside I thought I'd write a note about how this reminded me of his first bicycle!

Anyway, I used a cycle die from Memory Box and a sentiment from a very old Close to My Heart set of stamps.  The sketch is from Freshly Made Sketches and I'll enter this in their challenge.

Thanks for stopping by........
Lynn

  2. Very cool sketch and you did the card up perfectly. The trike looks so delicate and must be fun to get out of the die. Great color choices, Lynn!

  3. Lynn, your card is creative and fun... and makes me smile! I've heard "back in the good old days" so often in my life and seriously wonder if I it's true. LOL! I kind of like my modern conveniences.

  4. What a cool blast from the past with that old bicycle! I love the tilted panels and that little thin bit of ribbon makes the perfect embellishment too! Your son will get a big kick out of this card, and it's not as bad as my first ride - which would have been a dinosaur! Now that's OLD!! LOL

  11. I love this card, Lynn! I have to find that die. Way back when ... hubby and I owned a bicycle shop. He had a real thing for old Penny Farthings and he hand drew a caricature of a little guy riding one which we used as our logo on the store and on all our letterhead/business cards. This one brings back memories of good times before he passed. :-D

  15. What a dramatic and fun card Lynn - love the design and the colours, and needless to say the sentiment - I know the feeling about not being old enough to have offspring of that age... try 48!!
