More Flowers

For some reason I seem to be on a flower kick.  I'm thinking it's probably because a certain daughter and son of mine won't allow me to leave the house to look for the real thing.  I finally told my daughter she was in charge of finding some flowers to plant but she really doesn't know the difference between a flower and a weed so I'm a little concerned with that.   In the meantime, I'll just put them on cards.

This is an image from Power Poppy that I really like.  Just something about the simplicity of it......and yes, I made a simple card too!  I'm bound and determined to figure out these Zig markers with water so that's what I used on a piece of watercolor paper.  I tried to make the bucket look a little rusty.    The sentiment is......from somewhere.

I'll enter this in the challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge (Flower Power) , over at AAA Birthday Challenge (Dots and/or Spots), and Cute Card Thursday (Dotty)

Thanks for stopping by........and I'll see everyone back on Monday.  Have a nice weekend and stay safe and healthy.

  3. The rusty bucket looks great and your coloring is lovely. Maybe you should wait a bit until you can get out and choose your own flowers! (You know - just in case). Weeds are not an attractive look among the flower beds.

  4. Gorgeous card Lynn, I only know the plant and flower names due to Rick being such a keen gardener.

  8. Hi Lynn,

This card is so pretty and dreamy. I like the rusty vase and pretty vase. I sincerely hope you can go out and smell the flowers soon. You made me laugh when you said your daughter doesn't know the difference between a flower and a weed.

    Love,
    Monica

  10. I think your 'rusty' is perfect, Lynn, and I love the flowers! You definitely have a handle on the watercolor Zigs. The polka dots are wonderful and not just because they're purple. :-D My family will allow me to go outside as ling as I wear a mask and gloves and only go into the back yard where nobody else has been for more than a month now. Isn't it fun being in the "high risk"category? lol

  16. Wow! This is just beautiful. Of course, it has nothing to do with the purple flowers and background. LOL! Great job on the container.
