Sailing Away

With so many folks being right in the middle of winter and snow everywhere wouldn't it be wonderful to just be sailing away to some tropical island, sipping Margaritas, and chilling out!!!  We haven't even had much of a winter down this far in Texas, but I'm still more than ready for spring and summer - green grass, leaves on the tress, warmer temps....well, you get the message.

A quick birthday card for one of the guys!  Even if they don't like sailing/boating or whatever, think they'll like the card.  I used some unknown DP for this - the red panel actually has darker red squares in it but you can barely see that in the photo.  The image is from SU The Open Seas.  My twine looks a little saggy so think I may have to straighten that out a bit before mailing.

Thanks for stopping by..............
Lynn

You have so much ease with making men's cards, Lynn. I like the blue and red colours - can never go wrong with those colours for a man. Thanks for the kind comments on my last card. It was so basic - I used to make these cards a long time ago and still love the clean layout. And some how Less is More makes me feel comfortable with simplistic styles. :-)

Beautiful ship, Lynn. Love the die you used to cut it out. I think you should change you mind about fixing the 'saggy' twine and decide that's how you intended it to be. I think it looks really great that way!

Really like the SU clipper on this RB&W card. The diecut was perfect for this stamp and all the lovely embellies..Some guy is going to love this one. Personally, I like the twine the way it is...looks like rope in the riggin'. TFS

Fabulous man card Lynn. I did sail away and the weather was not that great in some places...rain in Aruba? I am looking forward to spring as well or at least some sun.
