Father's Day will be this weekend so I figured I'd better get a card made for Jim. He hasn't been deer hunting in a long, long time but think he will still enjoy looking at this beauty from Newton's Nook.
I stamped the image in brown Versafine ink and then heat embossed in clear on a piece of textured vanilla card stock. Used a die from MFT to frame him with and then mounted that on some very old (but pretty) CTMH patterned paper. Added the twine and the then the arrow embellishment under the bow. Very clean and simple.
Thanks for stopping by......and Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there.

What a great Fathers Day for Jim! The deer is very cool with the designs, and paired with the pretty dp! The twine and arrow is perfect with it. Hope Jim has a great Fathers Day :)

Oh my, Lynn, my Jim would love this too! My guy has not hunted in years but now he also appreciates seeing things in nature. I just love the way Versafine works with embossing powder. This is one classy card.
That is such a fantastic silhouette deer, Lynn, and I love your CAS design! Don't you just love those stitched dies? Your "bow and arrow" are marvelous. :-D
Hello, Lynn! I LOVE the stamp you used! Newton's Nook has come out with so many awesome stamps, I can't keep up! The patterned deer is wonderful for Father's Day - I know Jim will love this!
This is a most unusual buck image, and I certainly like it. It has a rather 'Indian pattern' to the design..sort of like Zentangle I think. You picked the perfect color to ink it too. Love that background dp, and of course the mats look wonderful, as does the twine and wooden arrow. Very classy, very masculine, and Jim will love it. TFS & Happy Father's Day to Mr. Jim. TFS & Hugs
I am sure this deer looks even more striking in real life. And I cannot imagine how much more attractive it could since this is so beautiful. Your paper compliments it beautifully too. And that little arrow is perfect along with twine.
Lots of love,
Monica
Wow! Very striking image. Love it.
This is a classic, Lynn! I love how you've added the arrow pointing right at that stately buck! Hope Jim loves his card and has a happy Father's Day!
That is really a stunning image and design here Lynn!! Love the pretty background too!! Clever idea to take the arrow and twine together like this!! I love it and I bet he did too!! :) Hope Jim had a great Father's Day weekend!

Gorgeous guy card Lynn and I'm sure Jim liked it.
So sorry I haven't been by lately... I don't know where the time goes and this moving and renovating is well... I'm way too old for it!
