Tailgating Fun

This is my second post for the day.  To see the Shopping Our Stash challenge post, please scroll down.

It's time again for another fun challenge at {Pin}spirational.  We DO have a fun photo for your inspiration today too.  Be sure and check out all the creations by the DT and then enter your creation for a chance to win a fun prize package by out sponsor, Pink Cat Studio!!!

This image was provided by Pink Cat Studio (who has the most wonderful images) for our challenge and after looking at the photo I decided these cute little owls were heading off to a tailgating party.  Nothing is more fun than tailgating - by the time you're through making all the rounds at one, you really don't care if you watch the football game or not!  LOL!  It was a fun card to create although I very seldom make a card in yellow and orange!  I even tried to do one of the little banners on here - never done one of those before.

These are so yummy looking.......and you can get inspiration from sports, colors, circles, cupcakes, or just whatever!  Oh, and don't forget to enter you creation in our {Pin}spirational Challenge!

Oh, and before I forget, {Pin}spirational Challenges is having a DT CALL!!!!  We're expanding - head over to the blog and check out all the details for applying!  This is a great design team and so much fun!

I'll do my best to get another post up before Friday - but if not.....be warned....another Funny Friday is on the way!!!

Thanks for stopping by........

Flower Power for SOS

Good morning!!  Our challenge at Shopping Our Stash begins today and we want to see some FLOWER POWER!!  Use your handmade or 3-D flowers!  It can include stamped images but must also have at least one handmade or 3-D flower you bought on it.  Be SURE and use that stash!!

Again, I used one of the poinsettia's I picked up at the Dollar Store last year.  They were with the Christmas goodies and they're just the right size to put on a card.  The ribbon is some that was given to me a while back and I've never used it before....and the Merry Christmas sentiment is from a very old SU set.  I wanted to make this card look like a Christmas package.....um.....surely someone out there can see the resemblance!  But, no matter, since it made a quick and easy card for the holidays!

Head on over to the Shopping Our Stash challenge and submit your entry.

I'll be back in a few minutes with my {Pin}spirational Challenge post.

Thanks for stopping by........

Autumn Leaves

A quick card to enter in three challenges today!  I'm usually doing good to get something entered in one challenge, so three was a challenge to ME!!

I used my only leaf set of stamps I own - from CTMH.  I really need to do something about that though like maybe go on a shopping spree!  Sounds good, right!  The background around the leaf was done with Flores Suaves from SU.  All was completed using Kraft, Cajun Craze, and white card stock.  Now, you see those three little "things" above the sentiment.....I call them "things" since I really don't know exactly what you call them.  They're not gems or pearls, but they stick on - so, "things"!  LOL!  Next you're probably asking why I put them above the sentiment and not below.  I mean everyone puts things like this below, not above.  But, I always say - dare to be different!

I'll enter this in the challenges at CAS(e) This Sketch (sketch), CAS-ual Friday (Kraft), and Simon Says Stamp Challenge (Leaf).

Too Many Monkeys

This is an old CTMH image from a set called Wild Thing.  I really think the only reason I bought this set was because of this little monkey image.  It's a small image but I just loved the guy.  I've had the set close to forever and never even used it!

The hardest part of this was getting all the monkeys lined up in a straight line!  BUT, I stuck with it, so here you go!

Since the challenge at CASology is "Wild", I'll enter this in their challenge.

Special Post For DTD

This is such a very special post for me today!  Several weeks ago, I was contacted by the Dude Time Doodles design team asking if I'd like to use one of their new release images and post a card for their blog today.  Of course I jumped at the chance.  Some of you may remember that I was on the Dude Time Doodles design team for quite a long time - and dearly loved each and every minute of it!  (I miss all you ladies (and gent, Kevin) but you know I'm never too far away).  So, a big "thank you" to Boni, Tammy, Anne, and all the rest of the Dude Time Doodles design team for asking me........such an honor!

I'm going to show you my card - inside and out - but whatever you do, please DO NOT scroll down to the inside until I can explain a little bit........

This is a new release image you can find in the DTD store called The Great Punkin.  I'm not going to go into all the details on this card as it's self explanatory as you can see - but I will tell you about the sentiment.......

I got this cute image colored up and the design for the card all laid out and then tried to come up with a sentiment.    Sometimes I have a pretty weird sense of humor (well, probably ALL the time) and all I could see after looking at this image was that all the pumpkins were resting peacefully in a pumpkin patch and just when the big one started to get himself settled in, he sat on a WHOOPIE CUSHION!!!  LOL!  That's where the mind started to get a little strange........so........here you go..............

Since not everyone may know what a Whoopie Cushion is, I just got down to the basic language here!

Be SURE and stop by the Dude Time Doodles blog today and see some wonderful creations and then check out all the fun images and new releases Boni has in the store - you'll fall in love with them just as I did.  Thank you again ladies (and Kevin) for the new release image and having my card on your blog today!

Thanks for stopping by.........

Pumpkins Galore

This is my second post of the day.......Shopping Our Stash is directly below.

It's almost Halloween, so what would be more fitting than to have a new challenge starting today at {Pin}spirational that will remind you of this time of year!   We're being sponsored by the CardmadFairy who also provided us with fantastic images.  The winner of our challenge will receive a wonderful prize package from them!  Stop by our blog and see all the inspiration from the DT too!

Now hubby has already looked at this card and said he wanted the girl on it.....Geeze....men!!!  This is Jessica from Cardmad Fairy and she really is a cute image.  I sponged in a few clouds behind her, framed her out using an old corner punch, added some orange, black and purple paper and then topped it off with the orange bow and button.

Fun {Pin}spirational photo too - right!!!

I'll enter this in the challenges at Simon Says Stamp (inspiration photo found on their blog) and Come and Get It Challenges (Halloween).

I'll be back again tomorrow with a very special post and you'll get a Funny Wednesday instead of a Funny Friday this week!!!!

Thanks for stopping by.........

Pickled Pumpkin in a Jar

WooHoo....Time for another Shopping Our Stash challenge and we have a FUN one starting today!  Our theme is Out of the Jar - what that means is this......Use anything that came in a jar (flower soft, glitter, perfect pearls, embossing powder, etc) OR use a jar image OR make something using a jar (decorated).  A lot of choices so be sure and play along - and use up some of that stash!!!  Check out the blog for all the inspiration from the DT too!

If you've been following my blog for a while you might remember that in the spring I do a lot of gardening and canning.  I've canned green beans, okra, tomatoes, hot sauce, jelly, pickles, etc.....I've also pickled my share of stuff too - however, I've NEVER pickled pumpkin!  I've never ever canned pumpkin because the fact of the matter is that I HATE pumpkin!!! LOL!   But, I do like these tiny little pumpkins in a jar for fall!  The card stock and DP are from SU, as is the image of the jar and sentiment.  The little pumpkins were part of some old unknown DP that I've had forever.  I cut them out and "placed" them in the jar.  I then stamped the jar image again on some clear stuff that came on a nestie package and placed it on top to give it more of a shine like a real jar would have.  The jar is a fun image to have since you can put just about whatever you want "inside" it!

I'll be back in a few minutes for my {Pin}spirational Challenge post.

Thanks for stopping by..........
