Funky and Feminine

Beginning today, we start another challenge at {Pin}spirational and have a lovely inspiration picture for you.  We're sponsored this week by Folded Paper - and the winner of our challenge will receive a wonderful prize package from them.

I'll start off by saying I DO NOT LIKE THIS CARD!  I struggle so bad with anything girly and the inspiration photo looks so girly to me.  So, I added the pearls and flowers for the feminine look and that Karen Foster DP for the funky look!  I tried to go with the reddish-orange and pink in the photo.  Anyway.....what you see if what you get here.  Please go by the {Pin}spirational Challenge though and see some wonderful creations by the other members of the DT.

I DO love this jacket in the photo......When I was younger, I had fire engine red hair and my mother would never let me wear orange.  Of course, that's all I wanted to wear!!!  Now that I'm older, the hair is gray, and anything orange looks pretty good on me!  It's a shame I had to get gray hair before allowing myself to wear orange!  LOL!

Thanks for stopping by and be sure and check out the {Pin}spirational Challenge......

I'll be back in a few minutes with my post for Shopping Our Stash and I'll tell you it's a tad hairy and creepy!

Such a sweet image, Lynn, and the flower looks so pretty. Awesome colouring as well. It has such fun colours... I think it is rather nice.

I don't see anything wrong with this card Lynn... it's all there - great colouring, embellies (even a rare flower cause I don't see you use those much) like some ribbon and pearls. It's a great take on the inspiration photo too so yes, I think it's a great card.

I think she's cute and the papers are so mod.

It IS funky and fabulous, Lynn! Wonderful flower and the sheer ribbon is so soft and feminine. Love the paper. That so takes me back to the funky 60s!

Do you ever go to bed? You have two cards posted by the time I roll out of bed. LOL It's a shame you struggled but if struggling gets you to this point, you should struggle more often. This card is super nice. Funny thing, I've only wore orange since I turned grey also. Maybe we should make a card with orange and grey together? What do you think.

I'm sure you'd look stunning in that jacket! It is adorable!!!

I think your card is quite nice! Love how you colored her shirt and especially the scarf & beret!

The flower is very pretty too! But - believe me - I know the feeling when we're just not happy with our creation!

That is a pretty girly photo! I love what you did with it - your card looks way more fun & funky than 'girly' to me, for what that's worth :)

I really like that jacket too, but the first thing I'd do is ditch the pink flowers and doilies! I like the rugged denim all by itself. Your card is a great take on this photo and perfectly reflects this jacket! NJ!

Well, for not liking this card, you did a great job. I understand what you are saying about the 'girly' look though. I think this looks pretty great, but I have issues with some stamps, myself. I enjoy what I see when other people use them, appreciate the talent it required to make the art...but I just can't do it myself. This one is very pretty. Your spider one was more my type! (gosh wonder what that means???) TFS- oh yes, I like the orange denim jacket too. Would like to find one,

And don't feel bad, My Mom wouldn't let me wear anything orange either, or red for that matter, I was not aloud to wear anything that clashed with my hair! lol 8-)
